3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to mattolesh. Pours with a black body and a small tan head that slowly fades. Good lace. Aromas are roasty, earthy, mineral, pencil led, vegital, iodine, earthy coffee, fudge, mocha, vanilla and brown sugar. Flavors are alcohol, vegital matter, coffee, estery, minerally. Finishes a bit dry, iron, medium bubbles. Coffee seemed to add odd off-flavors to this one. Unroasted bean flavors.

Mycket söt – men mycket, mycket god.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the 2011 Max’s Belgian Fest: Pours an oily opaque with a creamy froth of dark beige head. Has a rich roasty coffee nose with sweet dark caramel and chocolate with some raisins. Sweet chewy dark caramel and chocolate malty body has good complexity and mocha flavor. Finishes rich and bittersweet with some lingering roastiness and hides the alcohol well. Immensely complex and savory, a good dessert beer.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle best before Sept 2015...but I couldn’t wait that long. Dark pour and huge frothy head. Strong coffee aroma. This thing is coffee and sweet chocolate in spades. So freaking amazingly smooth...like melted chocolate infused with fine French pressed coffee. Some odd sweet, maybe fruity (?) flavor which was slightly out of place was all that kept this from being really elite. Still damned (see what I did there?) good!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Rating #537, bottle from Ølbutikken
A black beer with a nice brown head. Aroma is strongly marked by coffee grounds, thyme and a bit alcohol. Coffee is all dominating. The taste has liquorice and coffee, coffee grounds and ends in a nice, strong bitter finish. Good thick, soft palate. While this one is probably tastier than Black Damnation III, it is a bit more one dimensional. Black Damnation III is a more interesting experiment in my opinion, but this is definately a great brew in itself and does not deserve to be overshadowed by it’s younger twin.

Tap at Belmont Station. Pours thick and black with a dark tan head. Very oily. Huge milk chocolate, coffee and vanilla aroma. Smooth thick malt, chewy, with lots of chocolate, coffee bitterness and touches of oak vanilla in the taste. Decadent and enjoyable brew.
