COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urban’s mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.

Black Damnation II is yet another blend with the use of Hel & Verdoemenis from Brouwerij De Molen. This time a level more complex than BD I. 50% of Black Albert was used that matured for a while on whole coffee beans out of a craft Columbian coffee plantation. 25% of H&V was used that aged for 6 months on JD barrels at Struise. Another 25% of Cuvée Delphine was used.

Beware: labels are the same, taste however isn’t. Some bottles are recognizable because of he handwritten 2 on them.

Bottle. Clear black with a thick lacing diminishing dark brown head. Aroma is earthy roasted coffee, chocolate, sweet liqourice, a little toffee. Taste is sweet, full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Soft creamy coffee finish. Damn good INSERT INTO Lame finish (lamefinish_id, lamefinish_name) VALUES (1, ’Coffee’)

Bottiglia 33cl, comprata in cantinetta è bevuta a casa. Una TOP ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhold

Bottle. Black colour with a light brown solid head. Aroma is full and fat coffee, caramel, liquorice, vanilla. The flavour is sweet liquorice, huge coffee, bitter chocolate, roast malt. Plenty of residual sugars. A bit peppery, although that may be the cigar I’m enjoying with it. Rounded, smooth and sweet. Splendid. Just the best thing to drink--what more could you want??

Served on-tap at Max’s Taphouse during their "Rare and Obscure" event.

A - Pours pitch black with a creamy one finger tall khaki colored head leaving spotty rings of lacing down the glass.

S - Smells of rich dark roasted coffee grounds, sweet chocolate, vanilla, very light earthy hops, and just a hint of booze. This one has a TON of coffee in it.

T - Starts off with a huge blast of dark roasted coffee that permeates all corners of this beer. Once the coffee begins to die down a bit you get hints of sweet chocolate, vanilla, charred wood, dark roasted malts, and just a faint hint of earthy hops. The booze is hidden very well, offering only a faint trace toward the end. The finish is mostly just dark roast, lingering for some time.

M - Heavy body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Rich, flavorful, feel with lots of dark roast in the finish.

O - Very good. This was the perfect beer to get after all those Cantillon’s. Lots of rich, dark, flavors combining to form a bold coffee stout. I hope to try some of the other beers in this series in the future.

Opaque black with thick tan head. Nose dark roast, bitter chocolate, dark fruit, and some barrel. Tatse nice roast, big coffee and dark fruit. Mid palate awesome mix of sweet and bitter. Long roasted finish. Light hints of the bourbon enhancing flavor, not overpowering flavor.

Taster at Strong Beer Fest. Pours Coca Cola brown with no real head. Aroma is date, molasses, dark cherry, medium roast coffee. Taste starts chocolaty, then some dark fruit, licorice and oak finishes cold brew coffee... Lots of coffee flavor, minimal bitter. Very nice!

Currently drinking a bottle from Beautiful Beers. Aroma is full of alcohol, sweet whiskey, dark fruits, coffee, chocolate and wood. Appears as an insanely black vessel with a thick tan head which retreats to a subtle skimming. Tastes of sweet chocolate and whiskey, lots of rich and dark malts, coffee and an oaky whiskey aftertaste. Smooth on the tongue, huge in the mouthfeel and with a soft carbonation. This is yet another of the Black Damnation series which has left me astounded, it's rich and decadent, expensive and rare; absolutely incredible... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The first ’offspring’ of Black Damnation, basically a coffee stout because macerated on Colombian coffee beans. Thick beige head, colour black. Very powerful coffee aroma, wood, raisins, chocolate and everything else one can find in Black Damnation. Syrupy, sweetish taste, very thick and oily mouthfeel, towards the end increasingly coffee-like, roasted and dry, very long and complex finish. One of the most coffee-like coffee stouts I ever had, perhaps just a bit much.

Bottle 750 ml at home, poured into a snifter. ABV Totally black pour, with one fin ger of thick, dark brown head. Very good retention. Quite a lace left behind. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, molasses, wine notes, light alcohol, vanilla. Taste of liquorice, chocolate, alcohol, fortified wine, sweet vanilla, roasted malts, syrup. Thick full body, good carbonation, very sticky on the palate. Just great.
