Smells like chocolate and coffee resin at the bottom of an ashtray...in a good smokey way! Pours a viscous dirty motor oil blackness with a slight tan head. Smokey roasted coffee bitterness followed by intense chocolate with woody, hoppy notes. Very complex and tasty!

Taster at Strong Beer Fest. Pours Coca Cola brown with no real head. Aroma is date, molasses, dark cherry, medium roast coffee. Taste starts chocolaty, then some dark fruit, licorice and oak finishes cold brew coffee... Lots of coffee flavor, minimal bitter. Very nice!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Currently drinking a bottle from Beautiful Beers. Aroma is full of alcohol, sweet whiskey, dark fruits, coffee, chocolate and wood. Appears as an insanely black vessel with a thick tan head which retreats to a subtle skimming. Tastes of sweet chocolate and whiskey, lots of rich and dark malts, coffee and an oaky whiskey aftertaste. Smooth on the tongue, huge in the mouthfeel and with a soft carbonation. This is yet another of the Black Damnation series which has left me astounded, it's rich and decadent, expensive and rare; absolutely incredible...

The first ’offspring’ of Black Damnation, basically a coffee stout because macerated on Colombian coffee beans. Thick beige head, colour black. Very powerful coffee aroma, wood, raisins, chocolate and everything else one can find in Black Damnation. Syrupy, sweetish taste, very thick and oily mouthfeel, towards the end increasingly coffee-like, roasted and dry, very long and complex finish. One of the most coffee-like coffee stouts I ever had, perhaps just a bit much.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
15cl on tap at the brewery. Pours a deep brown colour with a thin brown head. Aroma is liquorice, coffee, chocolate and spicy. Soft to average carbonation and full body. Taste is suave with a well done balance between bitter and sweetness. Overall, almost perfectly balanced like eating a dark chocolate from the tropics.

Small sample from bottle @ Zeebra II. Pours pitch black with a ring tan head. Aroma has dark chocolate, mocha, some tartness and berries. Taste has quite some mocha, dark chocolate, roaste malts and a soft tartness. Full body and soft to medium carbo. Nice, but would have been better if it wasn’t infected.
