COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urban’s mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.

Black Damnation III was made with Black Albert that aged for 3 months on Paul Melia’s (Mes) favorite Whisky, the "Caol Ila’s Distillers Version 1995".

Silky black. Nose presents a deep fragrance of chocolate cake and mocha, with a touch of peat. Drinks like a more mature Black Albert, with just light traces of peat and barrel. Insane richness. Decadent silky dark malt goodness, super chocolaty, roast, sweet dark fruit. Finish lasts for minutes, initially dominated by fudge and then black licorice. Will only get better with age.

Pours dark mahogany with towering dark brown head that soon collapsed. Rich treacle and slightly meaty malts with some seaweed and cigar smoke. Rich, thick bodied, medium carbonation, sweet, boozy, strong whisky, long savoury sweet finish.

My 5100th rating! Bottle [330ml] courtesy of Glouglouburp. It looks beautiful! It pours black with a cascading, average size, long-lasting foamy light-brown head. Some lacing on the glass. Nice aroma of chocolate, roasted dark malt, vanilla, light smoke, dark fruit, wood, a bit of alcohol and more -- there’s lots going on. Flavour is rich and sweet, with dark roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, wood, alcohol, dark fruit and a long, slightly alcoholic bitter finish. Like the aroma, it’s quite complex. Alcohol is pretty well hidden for such a high abv. Medium to full bodied, creamy mouthfeel. A fantastic Imperial Stout and a great example of barrel-ageing done right. Thanks Dany!

Bottle poured a translucent reddish brown nearly black with a lasting creamy brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, peat smoke, bakers cocoa and light oak. Palate was full bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, peat smoke and light oak with a smooth lingering roasty peaty finish.

Taste: malt and sugar complexity as cane, caramel, raisin, and whisky barrel. Aftertaste: a few alcohol taste but pleasant because not so strong, whisky, malt and cane.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2013 The "666 Imperial Stout". Deep black color with one cappuccino head, roasted coffee in aroma, the taste is full, smooth, with roasted coffee and liquorice notes, one soft sweet touch in the final and again bitter/roasted coffee and liquorice notes persistent in the aftertaste. Incredible drinkability of this beer. Alcohol is well hidden.
