The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urbanís mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.

Black Damnation IV was made with Black Albert that aged for 6 months on very old rum barrels.

Bottle share at CBC Clerkenwell, thanks to Bruce. Pitch black, small foamy tan head. Aroma is caramel, coffee, roasted malts. Body is medium, pretty foamy, low carbonation. Taste is coffee, toffee, caramel, woody, just a touch of the rum coming through, a little metallic. Doesnít really carry much bitterness. Quite sweet but not overly so. Nice.

Shared bottle. Big gusher, chocolate mousse all over the table. Black with big light brown head. Red berries, dark chocolate, creamy, coffee, rum, marzipan, funk, wood, hay, light roasted grains and nuts. Quite sweet with quite a lot of fruity tartness. Full bodied with creamy feel. Nice stuff, very complex and alcohol is well hidden, but Iím getting a bit tired of these gushing Struise beers.

Poured from bottle, pours black with a thicker brown head than the others, aroma has a good amount of the coffee coming through at first with some chocolate and sweetness from the rum barrel, the flavor has a heavy front end of chocolate and coffee with a roasty finish, again the abv is tasted and isnít completely hidden, big beers.

Bottle. Pour is deep brown/black with a large tan head that fades quickly. Aroma and flavor is quite mellow/thin for the ABV - light chocolate, roast, coffee, slight oak, and a touch of vanilla. Finish is dry and slightly bitter/roasty.

Bottle at Delirium. Dark and smoky. Lots of dark fruit, bit of molasses. Taste is great, bitter dark fruit, dry, not so much coffee surprisingly. Dark as hell. Nice
