COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urban’s mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.

Black Damnation IV was made with Black Albert that aged for 6 months on very old rum barrels.

Bottle. Pitch black, quite a dark brown head. Aroma: fruity, rum, berries, green chili. Taste: dark fruit, tobacco, light spices, brown sugar, rum, dark berries, milk chocolate, a hint of licorice. Full bodied. A good version with a very nice rum influence.

Deep black pour from bomber with one full finger head. Aroma is a little oxidised - tangy. Taste is the same with some nice dark malt character though not much rum apart from strong sweetness. Thin body. Nice but a little disappointed by oxidised vibe.

330ml bottle served in a tulip glass. Batch from 2011.10.01. Best before 2016.12 29. A: Pours an absolutely oily black color forming a small brown thin bubbled brown head. Good retention but no much lacings left. A thin layer remains for long time on the top S: Perfect. Dark chocolate, coffee, wood and bourbon. Some notes of roasted malts, grassy hops bready yeasts. Also some notes of mint and alcohol in the very end T: Perfect as the nose. Upfront is slightly sweet with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, bourbon, oak, roasted malts. End is made of an intense roast bitterness and some earthy and bready yeasts M: Extremely creamy and heavy body. Molasses. Low carbonation. Aftertaste is very woody with notes of roasted bitterness O: Excellent beer. One of the best beers I’ve ever had. Perfect [ BA Review @ 12/13/2012 ]

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2014 In big bottle (beer temple; Brussels). Poured black with a think brown head. Very thick and full bodied; coffee/espresso notes ... this is a very good beer (though very, very expensive). I would buy this again

330 ml bottle, not sure of year - thanks to Sean! Cracked in celebration of my second full day off the anti-nausea meds, which means I can drink a full beer rather than a couple ounce taste. I was hoping for a lot, and this one did not disappoint. Pours opaque back with a medium dark brown head, creamy and slow to dissipate with nice lacing in its wake. Aroma is heavenly, roasty, boozy, lots and lots of rich chocolate mocha, vanilla. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, creamy mocha pudding, decadent with vanilla and oaky notes. Boozy, but not overly; not getting rum specifically, just a general spirit warmth. Full body, creamy silky mouthfeel. Lingering coffee bitterness and just a touch of acidity on the finish. Wow.

Édes-savanyú nyitány során teszi le névjegyét, mely a gyümölcsösség jegyében zajlik, kissé borszerű, testes, ám élénk zamatokkal.

The third offspring of Black Damnation, this time matured on rhum barrels. Thick and creamy, beige head, colour black. Complex aroma revealing the whole complexity of Black Albert with more wood and noticeable, yet subtle rhum; dates, coffee, tobacco, vanilla, leather, raisins, candi syrup, spicy hops, etc. Deep and complex taste with thick and oily mouthfeel, sweetish but quickly becoming dry roasted bitter, dry and long, woody and complex finish with just a hint of rhum.

Another massive imperial stout, more brown in colour but with a big moka coffee character. Not sure they are using only coffee beans, tastes of brewed coffee.however very good!
