COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urban’s mind. His idea is to realize a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste.

Black Damnation IV was made with Black Albert that aged for 6 months on very old rum barrels.

Bottle from my trip to Belgium. The beer pours to a pitch black body with a tall lively dark brown head. The aroma is strangely very Belgian. Lots of yeasty aromas and candi sugar with some chocolate covered bananas and coffee beans and sugar cane. Very unique. The flavor is coffee and chocolate. A lot of unique flavors too. Perhaps raisins, smoke, vanilla, wood, licorice, and a thick molasses. The rum component imparts quite a unique character. Medium full body that finishes pretty clean for as heavy of a beer this is. A good beer, but to me, it doesn’t scream spectacular.

Édes-savanyú nyitány során teszi le névjegyét, mely a gyümölcsösség jegyében zajlik, kissé borszerű, testes, ám élénk zamatokkal.

The third offspring of Black Damnation, this time matured on rhum barrels. Thick and creamy, beige head, colour black. Complex aroma revealing the whole complexity of Black Albert with more wood and noticeable, yet subtle rhum; dates, coffee, tobacco, vanilla, leather, raisins, candi syrup, spicy hops, etc. Deep and complex taste with thick and oily mouthfeel, sweetish but quickly becoming dry roasted bitter, dry and long, woody and complex finish with just a hint of rhum.

Another massive imperial stout, more brown in colour but with a big moka coffee character. Not sure they are using only coffee beans, tastes of brewed coffee.however very good!

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2014 750ml bottle @ Maunula beer tasting. Bottle from Saveur Biere.

1/3 of bottle poured out from bottle when opened the cap :/ Black stuff with small circle foam. Aroma of sweet red orange. Sweet full bodied beer. Fantastic mouth-feel. I love this!

I had high expectations for this one. It was a gusher getting me some trouble when pouring. Midnight black, big dark head. Aroma is coffee, boze, spices, licorice. I got no wood or barrel at all in aroma. Taste is sweet, thick mouth feel, bitter coffee, roasted malts, alcohol. Overall is good but not great. Missed wood/barrel profile and gushing turns me off.

Bottle 750 ml at home, into a snifter, ABV 13% Light gusher, nothing serious that will ruin everything around, but it keeps gushing after pouring a glass so I had to pour another one to keep it from spilling. Pours a totally black beer, with a tall dark brown head, quite thick, great retention, steady. Medium lacing left on the glass. Aroma is faint cherries, light black olive pit, some chocolate. Very nice taste, dark roasted malts, quite some coffee especially on the finish, a touch of acidity, very well hidden alcohol. Medium thick body, good carbonation, sticky on the palate. Excellent.
