Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2011. Pours a pitch black beer with a chocolate head. The aroma is malt, roasted, smoke and peat. The flavor follows the nose with additonal licorice and chocolate. The palate is sweetness and alcoholwarmth. Overall a good beer.

Tap @ BBF. If this was not such a delicious and interesting beer, I’m fairly sure you could pour a couple of bottles of this in your truck and drive for the rest of eternity on its energy. Such colossal thickness, richness and potency! Black as the darkest nights! Aroma has a million tonnes of roasted malts, whisky, booze, chocolate, coffee, tar, campfire, ash, coal mine, espresso, burnt branches, forest fire and the apocalypse. Taste is exceedingly bitter from all the roasted malts, liquified into something that is neither liquid nor solid. More sick than enjoyable and yet strangely beguiling.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black beer, nice brown head, fading quickly. Relatively mild aroma, coffee, slight chocolate, big malts profile, earth, dark fruits, slight hops. Quite alcoholic, but not overly so. Sweetish flavour, liquorice, malts, whisky, light hops. Dry bitter bit alcoholic ending. Overall hefty, but still nice flavours, and very drinkable.
