Previously 13% abv, 11% abv from 2014->. Black Albert was used in a new barrel aging project. More than a year ago, Carlo was able to get his hands on a stock of Four Roses Bourbon barrels, and we happily filled them up with Batch „0". This unique creation was originally to be named 4 Black Roses in honour of its heritage, but our friends in Kentucky strongly advised us not to do so! What to do? As the disowned offspring of Black Albert, the name Cuvée Delphine imposed itself. Savouring the Belgian irony, we are most honoured to have artwork by Delphine Boël shining on this label. You will not find this ale all over the globe. There is no export program, but we will try to provide stock through our web shop and some specialty beer pubs.

Black color, minimal head. Roasted malt aromas, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon hints. Dark chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, some coffee, mild bourbon barrel flavors. Slight alcohlic finish. Great Imperial Stout!

Easily the best beer from all the great offerings from Struise. I love Black Albert, but this trumps it in every way. The Bourbon barrels adds everything I love from a stout, chocolate, vanilla, coconut and some amazing vineous notes.

33cl 2012 Vintage (bb2019), merci calisky! - Bref: thins out Black Albert’s thick spiced molasses and espresso into a harmonious chocolate malt wallop of a Bourbon bourgogne. - Marimite yeasts announce a complexity of chocolate, royale Mon Chérie sugars and berry-like esters in aroma. 4 Roses cask tannins harmonise pleasantly with the subcutaneous wild Struise "house tartness". Hefty, dessert-like, screaming to be paired with blue cheese or beef steak, well done in its league but not my favourite tipple.

Fantastic! Vintage 2012. Insanely sweet but balances elegantly. A must for anybody who wishes to understand really dark beer.

Vintage 14. Love the date, star anise, clove and raisin. Almost no head on this and the age has really mellowed it out. Solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black with tan lace. Complex sweet aroma of oak, bourbon, coffee, chocolate, toffee. Full bodied. Very smooth and nicely balanced where all ingredients go really well together with no overpowering elements. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a deep dark brown color. Small tan head head that lasted throughout. Aromas of bourbon and wood. Flavor was a lot of bourbon, hints of smoke, chocolate. Full bodied and creamy. Tasted more bourbon than beer. WOW, this is a flavorful beer!!

Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, oak, vanilla and hints of coffee, caramel/toffee and dark fruit. Similar flavor, rich, dark, malty and complex with a medium to full body.
