Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Very black, beige head. Slight menthol aroma. Sweet and full bodied withsome asphalt. the whisky flavour is quite subtle, but takes the sharp edges of Black Albert and stills some of the inheritent brutality. Licorice mingles with bourbon in a careful finish. A tamed monster.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussels, batch BR26.230.610, bb 15-07-2015
Black color, with an extremely compact brown head. The aroma is below expectations, with dark chocolate, roasted malt, dry cardboard, although later it develops an interesting touch of roasted nuts. The base beer is spectacular, with dry but extremely rich chocolate flavor, perfect body structure, round mouthfeel, moderate sweetness that can’t compete with the delicious roastiness and the vigorous alcohol punch; a shade of vanilla from the Bourbon; in the final there is some expected liquorice, all well blended together.
