COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously 13% abv, 11% abv from 2014->. Black Albert was used in a new barrel aging project. More than a year ago, Carlo was able to get his hands on a stock of Four Roses Bourbon barrels, and we happily filled them up with Batch „0". This unique creation was originally to be named 4 Black Roses in honour of its heritage, but our friends in Kentucky strongly advised us not to do so! What to do? As the disowned offspring of Black Albert, the name Cuvée Delphine imposed itself. Savouring the Belgian irony, we are most honoured to have artwork by Delphine Boël shining on this label. You will not find this ale all over the globe. There is no export program, but we will try to provide stock through our web shop and some specialty beer pubs.

On tap at Local Option, in a snifter, pours black with thin tan head that quickly fades. Roast coffee and dark chocolate on the nose and palate ... A potent brew indeed... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2012 vintage from bottle into a snifter.Pours a thick black with large brown head that stays around for a while. Chocolate, booze, spice, coffee, cinnamon, yeast. Very sweet, oily, full bodied, medium bitterness, very balanced finish, some earthiness. Finish is tonnes of chocolate, very smooth, some anise. Really great beer.

Bottle courtesy of "hannont". Colour...very dark brown with a thin tan head. Nose....dark Swiss chocolate, molasses, vanilla bean and cotton candy. Palate...lightly tangy, sweet, and bitter with bittersweet chocolate, cocoa powder, ganache and buttercream frosting. The sweetness lasts through the whole palate and the finish is long, nutty and sweet.

Vintage 2012. Poured from an 11.2 oz bottle. When poured after maybe 2 seconds you can watch the carbonation release and form a beautiful velvet head. Pours black with a cappachino colored head. Aroma is roasted malt, unsweetened cocoa, bourbon, and vanilla. Amazing velvet smooth mouthfeel. Flavor starts unsweetened cocoa with some roasted malt . Some dried plum fruitiness, bourbon, vanilla, and a bitter chocolate finish. Every aspect of this brew is perfect. Truly a treat.

Tastes like Riga black balsam as of the herbal nuances in the taste. Taste stronger than aroma. Bitter.

2012 vintage, pours pitch black with a thick brown head with tons of lacing in the glass, aroma still had a good amount of bourbon and oak that comes through with vanilla as well, flavor has a hit front end with a good amount of roast and chocolate, bourbon shows as well, thick mouthfeel, worth the wait to get to try this.

Tasted at home and "The Hoppy Pub". What can I say about this beer! Full of chocolate, vanilla, wood and of course bourbon! Black colour with nice brown head. Excellent aftertaste of chocolate and coffee. Definitely one of my favourites!
