Pours black with a thick tan head that quickly settles. Nose is loaded with bourbon, dark fruits and spice. Taste is a sticky bourbon, oak, chocolate, fruits. A really great beer, far exceeded expectations. Hope I get to try again.

2012 vintage, pours pitch black with a thick brown head with tons of lacing in the glass, aroma still had a good amount of bourbon and oak that comes through with vanilla as well, flavor has a hit front end with a good amount of roast and chocolate, bourbon shows as well, thick mouthfeel, worth the wait to get to try this.

Bottle thanks to RasmusOtt. Many years ago i had this! Pours a nice, pitch black with a small, brown head. Aroma is nice and roasty, some yeasty vinous stuff, coffee, dark cocoa powder. Taste is very smooth. Pretty sweet up front. Gets more roasty bitter and with some licorice. Slight red vinous tartness, organic, malty sweetness. Full body, but well hidden alcohol, medium carbonation.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle vintage 2012. Aroma is strong chocolate, caramel and slight tobacco. Very pleasant. Head formation is ok regarding the high ABV, probably help by the high carbonation level (for the style). The beer appears totally black with a nice brown head. Taste is reflects the aroma and sweetness, dark fruits, raisin. The alcohol content could be better hidden to me. This would be the only " " " issue " " " with this beer. Overall, fits pretty well what I’m expecting from an Imperial Stout. You can find it at very decent price (less than 4€ if I’m right) and it blasts other very hype and expensive stouts (from Brewdog, Mikkeller etc) so if you’ve a chance, go for it, chances are you won’t be disappointed.
