COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously 13% abv, 11% abv from 2014->. Black Albert was used in a new barrel aging project. More than a year ago, Carlo was able to get his hands on a stock of Four Roses Bourbon barrels, and we happily filled them up with Batch „0". This unique creation was originally to be named 4 Black Roses in honour of its heritage, but our friends in Kentucky strongly advised us not to do so! What to do? As the disowned offspring of Black Albert, the name Cuvée Delphine imposed itself. Savouring the Belgian irony, we are most honoured to have artwork by Delphine Boël shining on this label. You will not find this ale all over the globe. There is no export program, but we will try to provide stock through our web shop and some specialty beer pubs.

A clear winner of the stout off, the other three were bad to subpar, this shined. Tons of roasty maltyness, those rich thick danish malts are working very well here. Well done!

Pours dark brown, bit of foam, yeasty (bottom of the bottle). Aroma is strong, bit boozy, vinous, feelsbarrel-aged. Dark fruits. Taste is intense, vinous. Lot’s of prunes and lot’s of bourbon. Quite long lingering vinous aftertaste. Solid.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Vintage 2012. Pitch black, espresso head. Bold aroma of chocolate and coffee liqueur with a touch of alcohol, dried fruit, some barrel notes? (possible, but quite weak), The taste is just as intense, but the sweetness is well hidden by some light acidity, as well as charcoal, alcohol heat. Moderate bitterness. Smooth easy drinking body. Not sure where the bourbon notes are... Excellent!

On tap. Pitch black creamy body. Starts out with a smooth chocolate flavour, which explodes into one big medley of chocolate, coffee, and bourbon.
