COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously 13% abv, 11% abv from 2014->. Black Albert was used in a new barrel aging project. More than a year ago, Carlo was able to get his hands on a stock of Four Roses Bourbon barrels, and we happily filled them up with Batch „0". This unique creation was originally to be named 4 Black Roses in honour of its heritage, but our friends in Kentucky strongly advised us not to do so! What to do? As the disowned offspring of Black Albert, the name Cuvée Delphine imposed itself. Savouring the Belgian irony, we are most honoured to have artwork by Delphine Boël shining on this label. You will not find this ale all over the globe. There is no export program, but we will try to provide stock through our web shop and some specialty beer pubs.

Bouteille de 330ml. Vintage 2011. Merci Pat.

2011 bottle from my cellar. I think I picked this up in Belgium a couple years ago. Fruity nose. Silken texture. Dark fruits. Chocolate-covered raisins. Nip of sherry. Hint of milky sweetness. Full and fatty up front; thinner toward the finish. Big alcohol is hidden dangerously well. Slightly papery and cardboardy (oxidized), unfortunately, but not so much that it’s distracting. Overall, it’s pretty damn delish.

Butelka. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta. 2 cm beżowa, drobno pęcherzykowa piana, która szybko opada. Zdecydowany aromat wanilii, czekolady.

Really delicious, smooth, and balanced stout. Pours a thick black with chocolate milk head. Really nice caramel and booze aromas. Sweet and rich mouth feel. A bit of booze, dark fruit, brown sugar, chocolate, and coffee. Awesome brew.

Bottle 33cl. Small noisy dark brown head. Opaque color with a heavy body. Aroma is leather, sugar, alcohol, forest berries liqeur, wet moss, plastic, correction fluid, chocolate. Taste is of sweet strong chocolate liqeur giving a good flush for the palate.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2015 Deep black colour with a medium brown head. Aroma has coffee, chocolate, licorice, bourbon. Taste has the same as smell but it is much more complex with the hops doing a balancing act. This is one of the best beers i’ve ever had.

deep brown, almost black colour, surprisingly huge, quite stable, cream brown head; aroma of dried plum, raisin, cocoa, roasted coffee, some ash, whisky, herbal liqueur and hints of vanilla; taste of dried fruits, dark chocolate, whisky, vanilla, and spicy alcohol; excellent Imperial Stout

33cl bottle. Deep black colour with a very thin brown head. Bitter chocolate, liquorice, dark fruits, light roasted and of course bourbon on the aroma. Taste is balanced with such a complexity that is difficult to describe. Overall, a fantastic beer.

Bottle, 33cl. Wonderful aroma! I can’t stop smelling this. Dried fruits, plum, chocolate. Very well balanced. Taste corresponds well with aroma. Thin line of light brown, creamy foam around the edge.
