2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle (a few years old) at home. Can’t remember where I got this sucker... It pours clear gold with a thick white head. The nose is mostly of dough with sweet apple pie, hay and light toast. The taste is sweetish, doughy, apple, melon, some astringency, touch of spice and light lemon maybe......dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not a whole lot going on, but what there is ain’t great. A very ho hum Belgian ale...

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle with Keith, pours hazy bright orange gold with light but nice head and lacing. Aromas and flavor of earthy grains, biscuit malt, dark fruit, light spice, and yeast. Refreshing overall with a dry bitey finish. Carbonation was light to medium. Pretty good

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
2008 Vintage bottle @ In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst during the Tour De Geuze. Pours a murky, very hazy orange with a greyish white head, only on the sides. Smell is dusty cellar, oxidized, murky, lightly rotting, very overripe dark fruit, dust, lightly watery,… Taste I surprisingly good, sweet mouldy, sugar, light overripe fruits, oxidation, rather sweet still, dying thick yeast, sweet spices,… Little carbonation but aptly fuller body. Obviously this beer cannot survive for long but good cellqring kept this drinkable and quite enjoyable.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Found a lone bottle with a only half a ripped label, in a beer shop in Brugge. Pours mega cloudy amber. Taste was spicy, some indian spices and vanilla. Kinda weird. Also slightly metalic aftertaste. Think it had probably seen better days. Love Struise normally but not a fan of this brew.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2014 blond/ orange colour, less foam than the usual. tastes like a typical belgian blond, onley a little more sweetness ( white sugar type) . very very little aftertaste, as i’m pleased by the struise also the right amount of gas. there is exactley what you need in a beer, and not so much it destroys your taste. good beer, if outside the struise. but for them i’d expected more complexity...
