Pours a slightly hazy straw golden color, capped with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is primarily grain, with bread dough, yeast, and a hint of orange. Flavor begins with grain and yeast, with background notes of orange, herbs, overripe fruit, and some earthy hops. Mild bitterness, earthy and a bit metallic, sticks to the palate for a while. I echo the sentiments of many other raters, this isn’t as exciting as most other Struise offerings, but it’s tasty and quite easy to drink.

Drank on New Year’s Eve 2009/10. What better way to see the year in than with a Struise beer I’ve not rated. Hazy gold with thin lasting off white head. Yeasty, Belgian yeasty, estery aroma. Aroma is somewhere between a strong blond and a tripel. In the mouth, its a little light on the malts maybe. The finish has some very decent drying stinging hops. Not the world’s hugest beer, but to drink after a long walk? Yes, very refreshing and thirst quenching, which I guess was the job it needed to do. Funny how Struise beers taste better with a couple of months or years age. This has really settled down from the first bottle I had back in September. Really decent strong blond/tripel with good esters and decent candied tangerine tripel style fruit on the swallow. My favourite bit though is the hops on the finish. Really reminds me of English hops. Very decent beer. Zita (14), Denmark

Aroma of Belgian malt with balanced sweetness and some bready yeast with a light spicy finish. Taste is alos dominated by a potent Belgian malt backbone with lingering sweetness and a light spicy bready yeast finish. Body is above average with good carbonation. Well done thought lack a bit of character coming from this brewery. BoBoChamp (1448), Gent, Belgium
