3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at CBC 2012. Looks good in the glass, almost no head. Very sweet aroma. Starts very sweet, notes of chewing gum, extremly alcoholic. Fiery-fruity. Finish still very strong and fruity. Goes down burning. Interesting, but much too alcoholic.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 06/02/2012. Pours ruby amber color, minimal spotty beige head, syrupy legs of alcohol. Aroma definitely very malty, sweet, tripel-like fruitiness- apples, pears- dark caramel and spiciness that blends in with hot boozy finish. Taste is equally intense- apples, pears, plum identifiable in the myriad fruit notes, along with sweet toffee syrup bread maltiness, and serious alcoholic heat. Palate is ultra-thick, syrupy, liqueur like, mild carbonation. Probably a bit over the top, but lovely in small doses- if this really does mellow out down the line, will be much nicer.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Clear nougat brown/golden body, medium off-white head. Nose is intense syrupy candy sugars, booze, deep malty tones and hints of wood. Smooth, and the alcohol is well covered in other aromas. Taste is heavy sweet raisins, nougat, syrup, nuts, dark fruits and hints of wood and alcohol. Very nice and incredibly smooth for such a gargantuan ABV. A unique beer.

Tap @ CBC, 2012.
Pours clear amber with a big, staying, creamy, yellowish head. Aroma is malty, caramel, light vinious, hay, soft raisin. Fat and creamy mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Flavour is very sweet, sugary, raisins, Belgian sugar, alcohol, caramel, sherry. Far too sweet for its own good.
