2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 3fourths (7063) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 14, 2012eh, sorry, nothing good to say here. haters gonna hate, nobody likes a critic, all that stuff. booze, caramel, ethanol, dates, alcohol, caramel and booze in the nose. sticky, medium body (or maybe it’s a bit thin/flabby/low-acid for it’s sugar and malt body, anyway I can describe it, it’s off-balance for my tastes). strong alcoholic apple, pear, white grape fruit notes throughout. rough, raw, green and does not suit my tastes at all.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bu11zeye (11265) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 3, 2013
(750ml bottle) Pours a hazy amber body with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, cherry, raisins, bread, and baked banana. Flavor of cherry, wood, toffee, vinous, and almonds with a alcohol burn in the finish.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 kraddel (917) - deurne, BELGIUM - APR 16, 2013
yup, THAT was a big whant ! bobochamps, has done it again !
thnx for the share dude, seriously !
now, lets start of with expectations...
everyone told me this was WAY to sweet, ( knowing what struise released lately, in terms of sweetness, if this was even sweeter, my teeth would have fallen out imidiatly ) . its su^posed to be ’ ok ’ , not nearly worth its money ..
so, in real life :
pours clear brown, no foam.
no scent
taste is definetly good. realy thickn ( how i like it ! ) low carbo, sweet, yet not nearly as swet as it was in my nightmare-idea’s .. ) grainy, but tasty . i’ve havn’t had XXX , nor XXXX , but i was let down a bit by X and XX . not much taste and wattery. this, on the other hand, is something else !
worth its money ? no beer , ever, will be worth 100 € / 75 cl ( tastewise ) . but given his rarity, its meaning ( to keep alvinne alive) and such, i actualy think it is . well, it is , if you give that amount of money for a BA dark lord. cause i’d prefer this way more, and its much more rare !
definetly did not regret having a taste of this, definetly thought it was way better than what i’ve heard about it . if onley i won the lottery, i’d buy a bottle or 2 to drink again someday ...
GO STRUISE
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BoBoChamp (4256) - Gent, BELGIUM - APR 15, 2013
75cl, new exclusive brew Anno 2012, from Etre Gourmet Beauvechain, complex brew, sweet/alcoholic and slightly fruity, very sweet, yet not too heavy, balanced (esp. considering the high ABV!), hazy, nearly no head, good brew, yet very expensive!, WOW!
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Dashimus (182) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2013
Bottle. Pours hazy deep red with short lived white head. Aroma is delightful, candyfloss, sugar, syrup and honey. However, taste disappoints slightly with dried fruits and toffee that is saved slightly by a warm alcohol feel of mostly sherry. Full bodied.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lukaduke (1066) - Portland, Maine, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Pour from Shahin Thanks ! Pours a rich copper color perfectly still. The nose is big complex sweet toffee, deep ripe plum, caramel a and a bit of boozy vinous notes. The palate is smooth and mouth-coating like a fine sherry. Lots of complexities in the palate with flavors unfolding as the palate adjusts to the boozy heat and layered notes of belgian spices, caramel, date. doughy sourness... touches of rye.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 hopscotch (8242) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Bottle... Mostly clear amber ale with a million small, white floaties suspended and scattered within. No head. The aroma is a straight-up malt bomb of caramel, fruitcake and cotton candy. It singes my nose hairs like lacquer or paint thinner, but doesn’t smell like either. Full-bodied and syrupy with soft carbonation. The flavor is sweet, red-hot-boozy, malty and fruity. The caramely finish is sweet and acrid with a lengthy butterscotch farewell. Pretty darned nice for what it is. Bottle shared by newcigarz!
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20 womencantsail (7100) - Garbage Grove, California, USA - DEC 25, 2012
A flat dark amber pour with a small khaki head. Smells like liquor. Very, very sweet nose of brown sugar, caramel, and dark fruit. Maybe a bit of banana and burnt sugar. Tastes somewhat like a quad at first with dark fruit, banana, and dark sugar flavors. A bit of caramel, too. But, the liquor and booze really take over. It’s also beyond cloying. Really brutal to drink.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 4/20 Labove (411) - Rome, ITALY - NOV 1, 2012
Questa sarebbe una birra? Veramente pessima, non ne prenderei un’altra nemmeno se me la regalassero
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 50belair (1384) - Florida, USA - OCT 30, 2012
Huge tip of the cap to Tony for sharing this bottle. Deep amber colored pour with no head. Aromas of cherry/eucalyptus cough drops, jet fuel, and caramel malts. Woah Nelly, this is a booze beast. All kinds of heat dowsed with sweet caramel notes. Dangerous but very drinkable. Maybe a little closer to a cognac than an ale, but still very good...
