UPDATED: SEP 3, 2014 Bottle @ home from beerkings.it (online shop).Batch dry hopped with Cascade. Birra ramato carico, con schiuma beige imponente, fine e persistente. Aroma intenso, fruttato agrumato, scorza d’arancia. Caramello, zucchero di canna, malto tostato. Note speziate di cannella.

Struise’s reply to De Molen’s Vuur & Vlam, a double IPA. Thick, sticky, yellowish white, creamy head, colour a deep coppery amber, hazy. Very powerful hop aroma, lemon peel, tonic water, walnuts, hemp, grapefruit, caramel, sage... Orange freshness in the onset, fruity with sweetish caramel base but overpowered by a very strong, mouth-cleansing, complex hop bitterness, citrussy, herbal, tonic water-like, long and dry accompanied by agreeable warming alcohol. An excellent IPA and a must taste if you like this style.

33 cl, flaske, 7,0 % ABV, produceret 2010 - BB 09/13, købt i Barley Wine i CPH City, 13. august 2014. Gærrester i glasset. Let sødme i starten, dernæst bittersødme i parløb. Must try again.
