Reddish copper color, darker than the usual IPAs. Off-white head, medium size and lasting. Hoppy aromas, fresh and fragrant. In nose, there are some hints to fruit and raw malts. It improves in mouth, with a nice balance between nuts and slight sweetness and a great, though constant, development. Elegant, notable beer.

Bottle at home (2012 bottle). Pours dark amber with a white frothy head. More malty than hoppy aroma, sweet, yeast. Taste is sweet malty, yeast, some hops, bit of a bitter aftertaste. Not much of the hoppiness left.

Bottle. Hazy chestnut brown with a medium sized diminishing tan head. Citrus, wood, caramel, light dusty, dark bread, dry flowers. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, medium sweet and bitter. Pretty soft on the palate and goes down easy. Somewhat short finish but with light lingering bitterness. Pleasant.

Pours murky brown into a de Struise tulip, with small, non-persistent beige head. Aromas of malts, grapefruit, toffee. Taste is quite gentle. Strong malt backbone, light citrusy hops and a lingering sweetness. More like a sweeter amber ale than an IPA but quite enjoyable nonetheless.

Bottle @Bierhuyske. Pours brown with off white head. Herbal, bit metallic aroma. Taste is sweet, hint of caramel ? Not really what I expected. No real bitterness.
