Draft at Churchkey, 7/12/14. Aroma of herbal hops and pale malt. The taste is intense grassy hops, pale buttery malt, mild fusel alcohols. Thin-medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness.

Alengrin (1296) - BELGIUM - AUG 22, 2014
(Very) strong blonde lager hopped with Galaxy, with thin, off-white head and golden blonde colour with slight haze. Delicate aromatic hops in the nose, spicy accents, citrus, pale malts; restrained fruity malts in the mouth, light spiciness evolving into a flowery and citrussy, yet friendly, long hop bitterishness. The alcohol remains well hidden, something I am not used to in this particular style; this only testifies to the Struise’s great brewing skills.

Tap at Gainsbar. Honey, tripel type feel, light fruit, lots of sweet maltiness. Quite full bodied. Don’t get much of the lager/pils, but plenty of strength.

Big lasting offwhite head. Slightly hazy yellow body. Floral aroma, like cypress tree, herbal spice. Dryish spicy herbal cypress taste with wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry grainy strawy cypress aftertaste with floral spicy notes. Lovely! Fresh, vivid, and drinkable. (0.08l draft at brewery.)
