Draught at BrewDog, Shepherd’s Bush on 23 July. Poured golden, with a light haze and a dense white head. Aroma of apricots, soft fruit and angelica. Bready malt flavour, with some citrus and rich, sweet fruit. Finish was biscuit, bitter hop and straw.

Taste this beer 2 times: first @ beer at bab ’14; from draft / second time @ Struise brewery self. Bit hazy darkgolden color, with a white head. Aroma: caramel notes, nice hops, fruits. Medium body. Taste: fruits, citrus, caramel touch, peach, good hopsbitterness. LIKE IT!

Draught @ Oud Postje, Oostvleteren. Pours clear golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and malt, with some subtle notes of fruit. Intense, hoppy flavour, with malty notes and estery touches. Rough finish. Warming but non-aggressive alcohol presence. One of the very few really good beers of this style that I have tasted.

2014-06-28. Very lightly hazy dark yellow body with a small white head. Aroma is relatively mild but hoppy. Flavour has a bitter dryish finish, with lemon notes to the hops. Lingering lemon pith and light lemon seeds. Smooth average to light bodied palate, soft carbonation. Tasty. On tap at BrewDog, Glasgow

My 7500th rating at the time of entry!

Bottle: Served in a shaker: Medium to smaller sized sticky white head on top of a clear yellow golden colored beer. Aroma is very typical and identical to the normal German, Czech, Dutch and Belgian pils and any pils in the world... Malts, some grass and nettle, some glue and grains... Flavour is malty, some honey, herbs, bit spiced, bit dry, green hops, bitters, dirty bitters, nettle... Boring! Aftertaste is bitter, grassy, green herbal and a light dry tint... Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture. This is quite bad, specially for such a good brewery as Struise! This could have been made with less alcohol which obvious leaves a little burn in the mouth, throath and stomach. The flavour and aroma are the same as many pils from Macro brews, which some may be even better than this. And oh yeah, the price for a bottle is absurd! Big dissapointment! Next!

Tastes like an imperial saison. Decent amount of booze with some floral hops. Some bitterness bordering on astringency. Pours cloudy blonde with ok head and lacing. Some bitterness in finish. Thanks to Travlr for a taste of this at Churchkey.

Tap at Churchkey. Pours clear gold with a large, frothy white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is sweet Pils malt, earthy and spicy hops, herbal notes, corn and peppery alcohol. Flavor is sweet malt, corn, peppery alcohol, light hops and medium bitterness with a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Sat with our kid and Sim and the legendary Tom in the Craft Beer Co, London somewhere. Pretty much clear gold with a decent lasting white head. Really blew me away this did, not sure I’ve had anything like this (that’s anywhere near as good I mean) or if I have it’s been a long while. It’s a lager drinker’s dream! I’m not scared of a lager, this is a shining light in a sea of shite. Ace stuff.

Keg @ BrewDog. Hazy orange amber brown, reasonable head. Corn grain aroma. Spicy dry biscuit citrus flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Doesn’t feel like 8.5% beer.
