Bottle, Tabamatu the legend, shared at Kernel. A really thick and full-bodied RIS beast. Lots of cedar and chocoloate and excellent barrel-aging. It has thinned out a little but hell it’s awesome. I want to try Portsouth Brewing Kate The Great but that’ll be hard! The malt work is mastery. Sheer brilliance again.

Bottle shared by Buckeyeboy, thank you! Dark brown color, near black, with a thin ring of creamy tan head. Roasty and sweet aroma, dark fruits, smoke, and chocolate. Very sweet taste accented with faint smoke and little bits of dark fruit. Layers of flavor. Very rich. Delicious.

Bottle share. Big rich Imperial Stout, with a Belgian flare. Rich stout with a yeasty (Belgian) overtone.

KAB no. 42. I believe Harrisoni bought this for me a couple of years ago whilst we were on a stag-do in Bruges. Anyway, pours lovely like. Deep cream coffee red head that settles to a patchy creme brulee. Great in the mouth - nice and soft. Flavours are subtle and powerful at the same time. Lots of blackjack sweets flavours and the big vinous hit of an imperial stout (with the body of a porter). Really good stuff.

Bottle. 2011 vintage. Opaque black liquid with huge, foamy tan head. Aroma of port wine, licorice, wood, smoke, light tomato purée, chocolate and light peat. Some light smokey phenols too. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of licorice, wood and port wine. Medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Pretty nice but probablt too old for it’s own good. Bit phenolic too.
