33 cl bottle at KBF Poperinge. Pours a slight hazy orange golden beer with thick white head. Aroma is filled of hops, fruits, citrus and some floral notes. The taste is very malty, quite hoppy, to sweeten out very fruity afterwards. The finish is slight hoppy.

Hiss. WOOSH! Splosh. CURSE! Wipe wipe. Wipe. Sell-by 04/10. Beware. The bottle label and review above use the words nice, original, fresh, complex, fine, pure, elegant, outstanding & great. Judging the little of the beer that wasn’t on my carpet, I would just use the one word, average.

Bottle@Delirium, Brussels. Overflowing out of the bottle. Cloudy orange, smallish offwhite head. Intense fruity aroma with pears and apples as well as honey. Spiced fruit flavours, hints of coriander. Again some honey. An interesting Belgian blond ale.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: APR 17, 2008 330ml bottle (?, Bruges)
Hazy bloody grapefruit, lively head (slight gusher). Serious and also aromatic grainy aroma. Lively on the tongue. Sweet fruit-juicy - dark berries - taste. Not like a wittekerke rose, but a similar kind of fruit/malt balance. Too sweet - like UK ’refreshers’ sweets. Pretty OK, though. Sadly lacking in hops.

330ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
Pinky-yellow, cloudy, light fizzy head. Fruity aroma, mixed with bile. Sweet malty taste, fairly bitter. Leaves both in the finish. A little bit alcoholic, even at 6%, which is a shame.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a huge white head. The aroma is sweet spicy with notes of citrus, coriander, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, citrus, wheat, malt, and a bit of pine, leading to a slightly dry and slightly bitter finish. A nice thirst quencher.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy straw to golden yellow pour, un-impressive head forms and seems to disappear rapidly. Yeasty nose, I don’t get much else. Not much flavor, some hops, some sweetness. Nothing off putting, just a bit to unobtrsuisve and well mannered for my likiing. Bummer.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Murky orange and golden yellow pour. Mid-sized white head, good retention. Pulpy appearance. A very subdued nose eludes to yeast first. Sweet fruits, mostly melon, peach, a touch of alcohol, light bready malts and a smack of caramel. Altogether an incredibly light aroma is difficult to pick apart. Nothing offensive here, though nothing is really interesting or pleasurable either. the flavor has loads more character. Plenty of yeast and hints of wheat. Grassy hops aplenty. Nicely balanced between bitter and sweet. The finish is semi-sweet, quickly drying slightly. Fruit and mild hop bitterness linger. Mouthfeel is soft, light-medium bodied, popping with carbonation, mostly appropriate for the style.

330 ml bottle. Lively as a vulcano, Struise Kloeke Blonde all over the table when opening the bottle...
A cloudy orange/golden beer with a mostly lasting biggish white head. Yeasty, light caramellish, light fruity and spicy aroma. Mild flavors of sweet malts and sweet fruits with a little spiciness in the aftertaste. Thin an quite watery mouthfeel. Semi-dry and fruity finish.
