Aroma: light bread malts, some yeast. Appearance: hazy pale gold, medium frothy head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitters intensify, some malty sweets in the background, very dry, average-long finish. Overall: very nice Belgian Ale, dry yet not too bland. Bottle from Beer of Belgium, Ypres.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2014 33cl bottle served in a Struise glass. Pours a light blonde cloudy colour with a very fine white head. Not much carbonation and taste is quite subdued. Hints of earthy tones with a clean refreshing finish. The possible hint of aniseed as the beer warmed up a bit. Overall a good beer but expected more from Struise.

Bottle. Bright hazy gold pour with lacy white head. Aroma is grainy, lots of wet grass, something a little bit bretty actually, kind of orval like but much lighter, light earthy notes. Taste is grainy, fresh bread, quite hoppy, fruity, pineapple, very refreshing. Palate is light and very fresh, med-low carbonation. Very interesting beer, kind of original, not your everyday Belgian ale yet very easy drinking. Nice stuff.

MF: full body, medium carbonation, sour bitter finish. well balanced. bit dry and refreshing. Nice blond, well made. not the typical blond you would expect. surprising.

Hazy golden with small white head. Lemon, spices, dough, light yeast, light pine, some funky notes, juniper. Taste is quite tart, with light sweetness. Medium bodied, quite dry and light bitter finish. Great complex blond ale.

33cl bottle @home. Pours clearly golden with a white head that is gone very fast. Fruity and bit sour aroma. Taste isn’t sour (what you would expect from the aroma), it’s fruity, spicy, some bitterness. Dry aftertaste. Really nice one.
