Drank it at Struise’s school in Oostvleteren. It’s a brilliant mix of double IPA and barley wine. Taste is smooth and strong hoppy, yet with a deep complex glow.

8/VI/13 - on tap @ Struise Schooltje - BB: n/a (2013-537) Thanks to 77ships for sharing today’s beers!

Clear orange beer, irregular dense off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: fruity, apples, grassy, flowers, green apples, bit sourish. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet malty start, though not much, fruity, bitter hops, citrus, bit woody, bitterness. Aftertaste: sourish, citrus, bitter hops, dry, woody touch, resinous maybe.

Draft @ ’t Schooltje – thx! for the ride tderoeck! Clear amber, lacing white head. Nose is huge fruity brett, orange peel, apple, tangerine, spices, some candy,… Taste is oranges, spices, fruity brett – brett profile is comparable to other Struise brews – slightly sticky, candy, caramel, candy sugar, touch caramel & toffee, hint horseblanket,.. Body is both somewhat syrupy & dry. Better than the original. Excellent.

Draft at The Old School. Pours hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma of brett, light horse blanket, caramel, toffee, light tart fruit and sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter, light sour. Full bodied with moderate carbonation.
