from tap, first off why the ’wild’ ting in the RB title?, don’t think it was the HOT version. anyway.. poured a amber colour with a smaller white head. brett, õrange, some kind of fainted pines, grapefruits, caramel, creamy mouthfeel, still a lot of bitterness, complex taste.

(draught) pours a hazy deep amber colour with a frothy white head. aroma of rose essence, balsamico vinegar and mustard, quite tart, with some notes of cherries and heavy dill. flavour is mostly the same, more dill and cherries, with lots of alcohol, a hint of straw and again some musard. heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

On tap @ Zythos Beer Festival. Hazy golden/orange with a medium mostly lasting beige head and some lacing. Aroma is winey with red fruits, caramel, leathery brettanomyces, wood and green apple. Taste is moderately sweet and somewhat winey with caramel, red fruits, green apples and a warming finish. Full bodied. Moderate carbonation. Woodsy finish. A tad sticky. Pretty decent Barley Wine. Complex. A tad too heavy, but still enjoyable.

Drank it at Struise’s school in Oostvleteren. It’s a brilliant mix of double IPA and barley wine. Taste is smooth and strong hoppy, yet with a deep complex glow.

Draft @ ’t Schooltje – thx! for the ride tderoeck! Clear amber, lacing white head. Nose is huge fruity brett, orange peel, apple, tangerine, spices, some candy,… Taste is oranges, spices, fruity brett – brett profile is comparable to other Struise brews – slightly sticky, candy, caramel, candy sugar, touch caramel & toffee, hint horseblanket,.. Body is both somewhat syrupy & dry. Better than the original. Excellent.
