(Bottled, 1.5l@Kerstbierfestival 2007, Essen) Very hazy yellow-golden with a smallish head. Extremely fruity, sweet-sourish, witbierish aroma. Very fruity, sweetish flavor with banana and strawberry, some alcohol. Medium-bodied, warming (and refreshing!) palate with soft carbonation. A very nice beer, but feels like it could benefit from spending yet another year in a cellar.

SHIG (3453) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - DEC 17, 2007
Bottle Kerstbierfestival 2007: Poured a hazy white yellow with a white head. The aroma is fruit, yeast, and spice. The taste is a warm fruit and bitter finish of citrus. Not my cup of tea!!

Sweet, hot and maybe out of balance? I’m not sure whether sitting in a magnum for a year has done this beer any favors. Pours hazy, bright yellow with a sticky white head. Aroma is grainy and yeasty with notes of something like lemon meringue. Sweetish flavor rolls into dryish bitterness and a warming dose of booze. Lively. Pretty good stuff, but I’d love a fresher sample.

Bottle@Chris_O’s. Yeasty, aroma, quite citric, also some spice like cinnamon and clove as well. Palate is spritzy and fizzy to start, but starts to soften as you let it sit. Warming alcohol in the finish, with more citric bitterness as well.
