Bottle coditioned 150 cl, Sampled specially for the Kerstbier Festival 2005 in Essen Belgium. This beer is an occasional brew, only available in magnum bottles. Limited edidion, only 250 bottles made. While the label shows 10% alcohol volume, this beer has only 8.3% of alcohol. The brewer confirms an error of the printing office. Original deep blond beer, huge white foam, orange yellow body, slight cloudy with lively carbonation. Aroma is sweet fruity. Very much honeyed and with hints of vanilla and white cane sugar. Also lots of fruits detectable, bananas, apricots, peaches, white grapes, plums and sweet spices. Taste is slight sweet, smooth with light pepper touches and with a yeasty caracter. Finale is sweet fruity and very tastefull. A very nice heavy blond with lots of taste.

(Bottled, 1.5l@Kerstbierfestival 2007, Essen) Very hazy yellow-golden with a smallish head. Extremely fruity, sweet-sourish, witbierish aroma. Very fruity, sweetish flavor with banana and strawberry, some alcohol. Medium-bodied, warming (and refreshing!) palate with soft carbonation. A very nice beer, but feels like it could benefit from spending yet another year in a cellar.

Cloudy yellow coloured, huge airy white head, not so pleasant tart fruity nose. Yeasty and fruity taste with notes of spices and herbs. Alcohol is well hidden.

Richmond Summer Gathering. 2005 vintage, #125, corked, capped and plastic-dipped big honkin’ magnum bottle courtesy of The_Beer_God. Hazy lemon with a huge white head. Yeasy and fruity nose, a bit funky, sweet malt. Bready flavors, yeasty and a little funky. Dry, dry dry finish. Excellent foamy white lace rings. Seemed to improve and become a bit more complex as it warmed. Nice! This was the bottle I kept nipping off...

Bottled - Chris O Shindig 2007 - A very hazy blonde coloured beer. The aroma is really inviting. Huge amounts of funk and peppery hops, spritzy yeats. The taste is lemony and peppery. Hugely spicy and lots of funk. Tasty treat.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2008 1500ml bottle given to me by Carlo from Struise and taken to Chris_o’s Shindig. Bottle number 20 from 2005. Hazy gold due to the sediment being shaken up on my journey. Lasting white head. Orange/spice aroma. Some lemon. Bit of banana and ester. Alcohol has a certain burn towards the end, but really quite remarkably dirnkable. I went back to it several times. 3.8/5.0 Re-rate RBESG08 grand tasting. Bottle 123. That’s a lovely Belgian blond. Like a good tripel and I gave it exactly the same score as before without knowing it.
