On tap at the Cove. Pours a dark brown with beige head that lasts leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is oak, roast, chocolate, and booze. Medium mouthfeel with light raisin malt, roast, and nice sweet finish. Hides alcohol well, very good.

On tap at de Molen. Very dark clear red brown pour no head. Aroma is rich and malty, dates, molasses, raisins, Port, just a touch of anise. Taste is rich and malty, sweet (dates), but the alcohol really cuts off the sweetness and leaves a long warming sensation on the palate. A malty sipper that Struise does so well. Really good.

Tap at De Molen. Poured a deep mahogany with no life at all. The aroma is liqourice alcohol malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth rich liqourice malt palate. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation. A slightly oily mouthfeel and a long bitter finish.

Murky brown in color. Aroma is complex sweet quad-like aroma of plum with a touch of funk and barrel wood. Flavor is strong but well blended to be both complex and subtle...sweet plum, dry fruit, and spices with woody notes and a touch of bourbon booze and funk. Another great one from my friends in westvleteren! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ The BeerMongers Fourth Annual Christmad Eve Eve Barrel Aged Beer Fest... Poured dark brownish with a moderate head. Sweet and boozy, a little drying with a big wood and barrel character. Dark fruits, Belgian yeast, toasted grains and bourbon soaked charred wood, some alcohol heat but overall the sweetness cuts all this and is prominent.

750ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo.Pours dark, amber reflections, with nice tan head. Some head retention, some lacing. Malty, caramel, liquor, liquorice, raisins, wood aromas. Medium body, average to soft carbonation, silky texture. Taste is really complex, very well balanced, smooth. Sweet flavours, liquor ones, some caramel, some ripe fruit, wood flavours. A really enjoyable one.
