mattmc1973 (124), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Jul 11, 2008 33cl bottle obtained at West Lakeview Liquor in Chicago. Pours a cloudy red/brown, after a geyser of foam opening the bottle. Aroma strongly of figs, spice, and brown sugar. Taste sweet, slight spice, and slightly acidic. Creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Very nice beer!

SuzyGreenberg (1028), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 2, 2008 33 cl bottle - 2005 vintage; pours glowing , orange-brown with tan head; not as dark as the GR; drinks smooth with a slight tartness; lots of belgain candy; crisp and of course on that struise sweet side; not nearly as good as the regular version; flavors of spice and dank fruit are on the mild side; the rich texture is there, but i wasn’t very impressed with this saxo (2305), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Sep 29, 2008 Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are fruits, caramel, spices and malt. Some alcohol in finish. MrChopin (200), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 28, 2008 Glistening reddish-mahogany with a small, creamy, short-lived white head. Sugary sweet nose of fruit (berries), caramel, cocoa, and little alcohol... very nice. Full bodied, well-integrated flavor that’s riddled with fruit, some caramel, and a little alcohol. Long-lasting in berries. Though not as potent as the regular version, this stands on its own, especially with the delicate fruit. nqualls (414), Tennessee, USA Sep 25, 2008 Bottle. Poured out of the top when I popped the cap. Poured a hazy amber color with a huge head. Aroma of sweet malt and fruit. Flavor was horribly metallic. Couldn’t find any other notes because the metal taste was so bad. Disappointing.
