Commercial Description:
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival 'Københavnske Øldage 2006' exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer's popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

The 330ml brown bottle gives up its deep murky brown treasure, which produces a tan head that fades rather quickly, leaving a thin covering upon the glass. The aroma of plums and spices stands out amongst the cotton candy sweetness, caramel, and a smattering of bread dough and fusel alcohol, bit of oak like sourness also breaks through, what a treat for the schnozzle. Front is decidedly sweet, grain presence perfect, bit of burnt toast and a hint of bitterness at the back, mouth feel almost full. Finish benign in its acidity, hops light but noticeable, alcohol well disguised, that’s scary, very dry, reminds me of the 7 year old Samichlaus I sampled the other day, this brew is a real tummy warmer, and also gets a “Whoa Nellie” from me.

Sampled at EBF08. Hazy brown. No head. Soft and smooth. Some dark sugar and nutty hoppiness. A bit fruity and sourish.

33 cl bottle - 2005 vintage; pours glowing , orange-brown with tan head; not as dark as the GR; drinks smooth with a slight tartness; lots of belgain candy; crisp and of course on that struise sweet side; not nearly as good as the regular version; flavors of spice and dank fruit are on the mild side; the rich texture is there, but i wasn’t very impressed with this

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are fruits, caramel, spices and malt. Some alcohol in finish.

Glistening reddish-mahogany with a small, creamy, short-lived white head. Sugary sweet nose of fruit (berries), caramel, cocoa, and little alcohol... very nice. Full bodied, well-integrated flavor that’s riddled with fruit, some caramel, and a little alcohol. Long-lasting in berries. Though not as potent as the regular version, this stands on its own, especially with the delicate fruit.

Bottle. Poured out of the top when I popped the cap. Poured a hazy amber color with a huge head. Aroma of sweet malt and fruit. Flavor was horribly metallic. Couldn’t find any other notes because the metal taste was so bad. Disappointing.
