COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pannepřt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Křbenhavnske Řldage 2006’ exclusively at Řlbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepřt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

330 ml bottle into chalice; 2011 vintage, bottled on 8/29/2011. Pours very hazy/cloudy dark brown color with a small dense khaki head with solid retention, that reduces to a spotty lace cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big raisin, prune, fig, cherry, caramel, toffee, molasses, toast, brown bread, chocolate, clove, pepper, cinnamon, spice, herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, dark/bready malt, and spice notes; with great strength. Taste of big raisin, prune, fig, cherry, caramel, toffee, molasses, toast, brown bread, chocolate, clove, pepper, herbal, cinnamon, spice, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Fair amount of earthy spice on the finish; with lingering notes of raisin. prune, fig, cherry, toffee, molasses, chocolate, toast, clove, brown bread, cinnamon, spice, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and robustness of fruity/earthy yeast, dark/bready malt, and spice flavors; with a great malt/yeast/spice balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth and fairly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian strong dark ale. All around great complexity and balance of yeast, malt, and spice flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Draught as Pannepeut @ Bier- & Eetcafé Gollem, Antwerp. Pours hazy ruby / copper brown with small off white-head. Clear aroma of caramel malt and fruit, with estery and hoppy notes. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, with heavy fruity notes and touches of yeast and hints of hops towards the finish. Pleasant, lingering, fruity and bitter aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. A great beer!

Love this one. No flaws whatsoever. Wonderfully complex and very well balanced. Starts a bit sweet with roasted malts and lots of red fruit then goes to a dry tart flavor and ends with a bitter note. The alcohol is warming but never dominant and not a big part of the flavor. Carbonation is soft prickly. Had the 2013. Highly recommended.

2010 vintage, opened 8 July 2014. Pours opaque darkest brown with small short-lived head into a De Struise tulip. Aromas of dark fruits - cherries, dates, plums and a light touch of roasted malts and alcohol. Taste is very full-flavoured, sweet initially, then transitioning to dryness and a very light bitterness. Tastes are exactly the same as the aromas suggest: cherries, dates, plums, alcohol, roasted malts, plus a very light hint of vegemite. Medium bodied but the huge flavour makes up for any deficiency in body. This is an absolutely fantastic full-flavoured ale that stands up well against its well known cousin, Pannepot.

Dark brown color with beige head that quickly diminishes. Aroma is complex, full of grapes, cherries, brown sugar and dark fruits. Taste is complex as well, full of figue, cherry, grape and caramel. Medium bodied, good balanced and sweet finish.
