2010 Vintage. Pours a dark brown with orange hues, small beige head, fading, leaving a fair lace. Sweet aromas with coconut, cocoa, plums and dates, cardamon and spices combining for an exquisite bouquet. Full bodied, light to medium carbonation, fruity at first with candied cherries, finishing on a complex chocolate liquor aftertaste including plummy notes, dried raisins, dates, figs and other exquisite expressions of paradisiac dried fruit bowl. Superb.

Red/brown - disapearing white head. A lot sweeter than pannepot. No licorice, not as powerfull and fullbodied. more obvious alcohol. Hoppy. But still a very good beer. Pannepot is better though.

Hazy reddish brown with minimal white head. Brown sugar, lots of tart red fruits, light funk, vanilla, some toast, chocolate and green apple. Starts sweet with than sourness going into a long tart finish. Medium bodied, light carbonation. Very complex and interesting stuff, but no Pannepot.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown body with a small head that disappears quickly. Aroma is some liquorice and the alcohol is noticable through the dark fruity aromas.
Taste is great, dark bready malts, dark sugar, dark fruits (raisins very present), boozy sweetness, caramel. Then some bitterness comes in which combines very well with the sweet, dark, fruity flavors that remain.
Not that carbonated and a bit oily but with a dry finish. Great beer!

330ml bottle, 2013, from Vanuxeem. Extremely rich liquorice nose, with a smooth blend of spicy fruits, dark caramel and soft liquorice. Not usually into this kind of beer but this is ok.

Pours cloudy dark brown with no head. Bread and raisins and some toffee/caramel for aroma. Ripe fruits and black licorice for taste. Burnt sugar/caramel also. Medium body with low carbonation. Very nice brew but I definitly had better. Now i’m even more anxious to get the pannepot.

15cl tap @ Brugs Bierfestival. Very dar-brown, beige head. Sweet fruits like strawberry, chocolate, coffee, some sourness and a nicely bitter aftertaste.Very nice, but I prefer the Pannepot.
