COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

UPDATED: APR 6, 2014 Pours a hazy dark brown with a 1 finger, beige head. Aroma is dark fruit, burnt sugar, caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, boozy vinous notes and cherry bounce. Flavor is chocolate, dark fruit, rum-like sugary booze, earth, light woody notes, bread crust, spice, a little licorice and toffee nuts. Medium body, syrupy feel, light to medium, slightly sharp carbonation and slightly boozy finish. Really good stuff overall.

2007 bottle. Murky brown pour with some suspended sediment and a tan head. Nose is toffee, raisin, prune, dried cherry. Flavor is fig, green raisin, caramelized banana, light syrupy caramel and toffee, extremely faint roasty character and a light hazelnut quality. Maybe a touch of papery oxidation. Creamy/oily mouthfeel, with velvety carbo. Awesome to try this with so much time on it, however I think it has leaned out a bit too much and perhaps become a bit too oxidized. I think it’d be better around the 3-4 year mark.

Smell of slightly roasted rye, fruits and alcohol. Taste is prunes, little apple, vanilla, roasted rye. It is a syrupy beer, that is on the sweet side, but offers much more in the aftertaste, where a little bitter and a little pepper resides. Very good after a heavy meal. Or during. ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

Flaska på Delirium. Pannepeut 2010. Knäckebröd och kola i doften. Rund och tung doftbild där även russin och plommon går att finna. Härlig kropp. Riktigt bra. Vällagrad och toppar troligen nu.

From the 330 ml bottle - 2012 vintage. The pour is a deeper amber brown but not super dark. Reddish hues. A short-lived beige head. Aroma of meaty fruit such as red grapes, cherry, prunes, and plums. Some herbal and spicy notes too. All filtered through a modest pale malt character. I liked the aroma. The body is medium. The alcohol bite is still a bit noticeable in the flavor but I do not put a lot of stock in that considering it is a 10% beer. Still the darker fruit characters define the overall taste with a Belgian sweet malt chaser and a slightly tart finish. Nice.

Aroma of dark bready malts, caramel, dark fruits, chocolate, raisins, spices, light candy sugar. Flavour is similar, dark fruity sweetness. Alcohol is barely noticeable, just a hint of it. Very nice.

Bottle 33cl (Vintage 2013) Aroma of prune, fig, dried fruits, apple syrup (luikse siroop), something funky. Pours clear dark coffee brown, beige head, constant sparkling, semi lasting, lacing. Taste is fruity, apple syrup, nuts. Taste evolves, alcohol stays surprisingly absent. Sweet. I loved this beer. It started a bit weak in my opinion but what a lovely evolution in taste.

2010 vintage. Pours a very dark brown with a dark beige head - Looks good! Aroma of dark sweet characteristic fruits (dates, plums, prunes, raisins etc). Some sweet chocolate notes, ripe plums, caramel malts, vanilla notes, some nuts and some sweet alcoholic notes as well. Taste has some dry dark fruit along with some ripe dark fruits. I also get some leather notes, toffee/caramel malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, sweet warming alcohol, nice belgian yeast esters and also some nutty notes. I love all the Pannepot editions and this is not an exceptions. About time that I got to drink this!

Pours very dark - almost black - brown. Light brown, small but rather thick head. Aroma: Slight cognac (or rum maybe), lots of dark, dried plums, dades, hazelnuts and syrup. Taste is more alcoholic, roasted and agressive up front. Still lots of over ripe fruits, but more dimmed than in the aroma. As it grows warmer, more alcohol and burned sugar reveals itself. Again this Rum or Cognac. Ends off with something bitter/sweet/sour at the very end.
