COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

Poured a lightly hazed dark copper color with a medium beige head. Semi-sweet malty aroma of caramel, light yeastiness and spice. Caramel malt flavor to start. Spicey middle and a sweet caramel finish. Notes of apples and pears. The very end brought out some spice and bubblegum. Tingley mouthfeel and a medium to full body.

This is a vintage 2006 and I enjoyed it in the summer. The beer floods out of the bottle upon opening, but I have my glass ready. It’s a dark, nut-brown color with a huge, creamy and nice head. The aroma is malty and smooth with notes of dark fruits and spice - and it’s very, very harmonic and makes my mouth water and I cannot restrain myself any longer. The flavour - OHH-LA-LA, immediately the taste buds get the pleasure of this beer they send a message to the brain: Hello, hello - anyone at home??? Waky, waky: A new beer among the top-10 Belgian beers.... It has notes of dark fruits: raisin, plum, sweetness, candy sugar, caramel and spice and a hint of coffee or perhaps it’s chocolate. It’s very complex and extremely well-balanced and the alcohol is very well hidden. What a nice one - sighhh - sheer pleasure...

duff (5484) - Lund, SWEDEN - MAR 13, 2007
Bottle. Had this side by side to the regular Pannepot at the Sydney Gathering and, yes, its quite different. This was quite sweet, as the regular Pannepot is, but this seemed much more sugary, with a rougher, raw and yeasty mouthfeel, lacks the smoothness of the reguler Pannepot, and finishes shorter. Some subtle spiceyness and noticable alcohol.

Amber, brown coloured brew. Sweet nice aroma. Taste is not perfect, but still nice. Fruity.

Bottle. Hazy amber. Thick head. Rich sweet palate, hints of plums. Estery banana dominates. Alchohol is fiery however and detracts from a higher grade. A little disappointed.

Bottle thanks to drewbeerme. We put this up to the regular Pannepot to compare the two. Pours murky brown in color with a tall head that fades down. Nose of sweet sugars, plum, cherries, yeast, raisins, and a little alcohol. Delicious aroma. If the flavor matches this, this will be an amazing beer. But it doesn’t quite get there. Cherries, oak, red fruit, molasses, a hint of alcohol. Long lasting molasses and fruit flavors. This is a very tasty beer but when i sip from the regular pannepot, the ø is put in perspective, and I wonder, why would the danes want this good beer over that amazing beer? hmm ...

2006 bottle. Sampled side-by-side with Pannepot. Ruby brown with a moderate sized, creamy off white head. Much different appearance than the Pannepot. subltle aromas of malt and brown sugar. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Big malt flavors with some raisins and warming alcohol.

2006 Vintage from Slob. Thanks, dude! Pours a beautiful and antiqueish brown, with healthy head of light mahogany. Aromas of cinammon and nutmeg permeate the air from the time of the first drop leaving the bottle. Very egg-noggish, indeed. Flavors of strong cinammon and nutmeg coat the tongue, leaving traces of egg nog as it dissipates. Full and coating mouthfeel that leaves no taste bud untouched. Fantastic brew.
