COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

as with pannepot, a hefty amount of residual sugar here in comparison to other belgians. big and muddy and malty, slightly boozy in finish. Head doesn’t last. Not that complex actually, the malt flavours take centre stage, with a small amount of subtle leafy hops, not much yeast character. Not cloyingly sweet, but not appealingly fruity and spicy either. Solid and tasty but short of spectacular.

Drunk with Brian. Really good. Definitely like dark Belgians more when I’m pissed. I was pissed. This was good.

2010 vintage. Pours dark brown, slightly reddish, with frothy tan head and good lacing. Aroma is red fruits, particularly cherries, toffee. Flavour is primarily sweet fruits, caramel, hints of oak and candy sugar, even a trace of dark malt. Nice long finish with a little bitterness coming through and slightly spicy too. Overall it’s the right level of sweet and very, very smooth. Delightful!

Dark brown pour with a solid light brown head. Nose is soft oak, caramel, chocolate, dark fruits, raisin, and figs. Nice Taste follows nose. Oak is more subtle. Slightly fruit sweet. Slick, slightly sugary but a solid feel. Medium bodied, light carbonation. Lovely beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2007 vintage, bottle from Bierkompass!
Pours dark brown with reddish tinge, foam is creamy, brown and long-lasting. Smells malty-roasty, sugary, with lots of dark fruits and licorice. Starts sweet-malty, very fruity, with dark red fruits, slight alcoholic touch in the middle part. It is also slight chocolatey, with some toffee. Finish is very perfumy / alcoholic with dark fruits, licorice and some pepper and lots of raisin. Overall very complex, but also very alcoholic-warming.

2007 Vintage Aroma is very rich and malty with lots of sweet toffee and dark caramel. Some burnt sugar, light chocolate and faint roast and toast. Light fruitiness of raisins, plums and figs. Hint of alcohol spice and phenolic spice. Pours brown with some burnt amber notes. Head is big and thick, tan with a reddish note to it. Similar color to what I look like after being in the sun too long. Flavor similar to aroma with lots of dark caramel and toffee. Moderate burnt sugar notes, light chocolate, roast and toasted bread notes. Some medium light fruit notes of plum, fig, prune and raisin with a hint of cherry. Light peppery clove note. Medium bitterness and medium light alcohol spice in finish. Starts very sweet but the finish isn't sticky at all. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium alcohol warmth. Overall a very enjoyable beer. Very nice malt complexity married nicely with the flavors you would expect from Belgian yeast. The caramel has varying layers of darkness which adds a nice complexity. Sweet without being sticky or cloying. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2011 bottle. Pour is a very murky dark brown with a small light tan head. Quite sweet and fruity nose, dark fruits, candy sugar, caramel, and hints of booze. Lots of caramel on the taste, some toffee, dates and figs, candy sugar, slight hint of oak, and some booze.

2011, rood/bruine kleur, niet helder, bijna geen schuimkraag, ruikt en smaakt fruitig, beetje alcohol, zoet/zuur en een beetje waterig

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This is a dark red-brown beer with a sweet red fruit and candi sugar flavour, slight sour fruity notes, currants, whisky notes and a warming creamy vanilla finish.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is big red berry fruit and liqourice. The flavour is rich, sweet, fruity and alcoholic bitter. The palate is lovely rich and smooth. A super beer as expected from Struisse.
