COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

Bottle recommendation - Poured a dark reddish black with a tan simmering head. A rich strong grape aroma. On the Pallet there are hints of coffee-dark roast, coco and an earthy grape sweetness. Some slight odd sourness which may have turned me off a little. For all the hype I’m going to need a re-taste of this.

Batch 2010. Dark bordeaux red color. No lasting foam. Smell of candy and ripe cherries. Taste of ripe dark fruit. Certainly family of the Struise Pannepot.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Brum. Smells leathery and well worn - comforting. Irresistibly delicious: light, balanced, super-drinkable. Strong Belgian malt flavour, tobacco, roots et Alan. Compelling.

Gently roasty aroma with bundles of Dried fruits. Dark chocolate mixes with raisin and prune and is followed by more chocolate notes. Flavour is a symphony of varied notes, dark chocolate with hints of vanilla then a touch of peppery spice and may be a hint of oranginess.

Precious dark brown colour with a tiny head, shortlasting. Aromas and tastes to plums, sweet wine, prunes, cinnamon and a nutty hint. Perfect structure and development. Elegant, complex, delicious, unforgettable. In my opinion, one of the best beers worldwide. Colossal.
