Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

Been a while since I’ve entered a rating, but this is one that I wanted to rate to finish the set. ’08 Bottle. Pour is bilious brown yellow. Color of watery diarrhea. By that, I man cola brown at the bottom, with golden highlights at the top, with lots of suspended chunks. Nose is rich sweet malt and alcohol. Sharp. Taste is massive sweet sharp warming malt. Ugly and lovely. Long lingering leftovers. Probably feel this one in the morning.

dark brown colour, moderate sized creamy beige head; aroma of dried fruits (mostly plum and cherry), toffee, herbal notes and some alcohol; taste of herbal liqueur with tons of dried fruits, toffee and syrupy notes; despite the intensive maltyness, hoppy notes can also be felt (mainly in the aftertaste); perfect!

12/09/2015 @home - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte Dark colour with small head, leaving just a lacing at the sides of the glass. Roasted malts, boozy (very different from the Pannepot). Where I always liked the Pannepeut more than the Pannepot, now It was different. Did the Pannepot age better? Taste : roasted malts, alcohol, spicier, some marzipan. Maybe less balanced than the Pannepot? But not bad at all.

Bottle, 2010 vintage. Pours a dark cloudy brown beer with a thin off white head on top, creamy. Aroma has massive port notes, Madeira, boozy, kandi sugar, molasses. Flavour is very sweet, loads of caramel and booze. Dark, overripe fruits with some velvet smooth sticky mouthfeel. Long, bittersweet aftertaste. Very nice.

Hazy amber pour with a thin creamy beige head and very light lacing .... aroma of raisins, plums/dark fruits, candi sugar and roasted chocolate malts ..... taste is of candi sugar, dark fruits think plums/prunes, roasted and chocolate malts, raisins and light tobacco ..... soft and creamy mouthfeel always gives these brews a notch above ... finish is roasted and chocolate with a lingering sweetness as well .... 10% is non existent and hidden very well
