"Vintage 2005"
Our PGR has aged for 24 months on oak barrels and has been bottled for the first time on the 27th of December 2007. The main difference with the Pannepot Reserva is that PGR matured the last ten months on Calvados oak barrels, adding extra complexity to the beer. We dedicate this beer as a tribute to Jeppe & Michael of Ølbutikken in Denmark. Those gentlemen were the first to discover our beers on an International basis back in 2004 and are responsable somehow for our beers being all over the globe since then. As a token of gratitude towards Jeppe & Michael, the first shipment of PGR was scheduled to Ølbutikken so they could be the first to launch its commercialisation.

330ml brown bottle. Black colour, off white head is stained by yeast flecks. Decent lacing. Nose is slightly winey, notes of alcohol, some cherries, slight woody notes. Flavour has cherry and wood notes up front, hint of chocolate, soft fruity notes. Dry and woody finish. Aftertaste is very oaky, woody, lingering dark cherry fruit notes. Full body, tight precise carbonation on the tounge. Overall, strong, woody and winey and very pleasing. Great extension to the Pannepot brand.

2009 vintage, 33cl bottle @ home. Pours deep mahogany with a beautiful but quick fading light brown head. Aroma is brown sugar, caramel, wood, chocolate and alcohol. Flavour is medium sweet and slighty bitter. Full body with a creamy texture, soft carbonation. Finish is long with plums, dark fruits and alcohol dominating.

Vintage 2009 version, bottle. Dark mahogany color. Aroma reminiscent of Westy 12: strong wine character, malty, slightly alcoholic. Sweet, malty, dark-fruity mouthfeel, full-bodied. Oaky and vinous finish. Amazing beer.

Vintage 2009. Pours deep mahogany into a snifter. Mocha head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Dark chocolate and pit fruit aromas. Dry with sweet, dark pit fruit and vanilla upfront turning to a warming, earthy roasted nuts and a toasty brown bread finish.

Another superb Belgian strong. Starts with mild but entrapping aroma. Cant really describe in few word things thats going one there. Intense dark fruits, raisins berries, fresh ripe fruits, apples, plums. Theres quite intense malt background, caramel, light roast, noticeable wood, vanilla. Strong hop presence for Belgian. Aroma waves comes one after another and you just keep enjoying this awesome brew. Same goes with taste, mostly sweet but with decent bitterness and light sourness. Awesome balance

When opened- aroma is simply alcohol. After a while taste brings out its characteristics, could be more

330ml bottle poured in a Westy chalice. One of my favorite Belgian brewers: De Struise never disappointed me :) Grand Reserva Vintage 2006 - PNP No.4 Best Before March 2014 A: Pours a dark brown color with a medium to small beige head with medium retention. Few lacings left S: Very candy. Bit fruity. Belgian yeasts, coffee beans, oak and alcohol T: Follows the nose. Sweet upfront. Roasted malts, yeasts, notes of coffee and oak. Nice hop bitterness aftertaste and a bit of alcohol too M: Very creamy. Full bodied. Low carbonation O: Excellent as expected [ BA Review @ 5/3/2011 ]

Sweet, dark fruits are checked by light, vinous tannins and mild bitterness. Soft, velvety carbonation somehow gives the impression of lighter body... dangerously easy to drink, considering the alcohol and process behind this beer.
