Bottle 2008 vintage. Bought this some time ago and have only just got around to drinking it. The wait was worth it. Dark brown with a small head.Lovely port like flavour with a gentle creaminess running through it.
Amazingly smooth for its strength-wanted the bottle to last forever.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Deep brownish black color with half finger of khaki head. Smells of sweet malt, chocolate, dark fruit, grape, apple. Taste is like a chocolate fruit cake with some nuttiness. Smooth taste from age, alcohol hidden well. Some oak and a touch of the brandy barrel on the finish in the form of a slight tart apple.

Bottle 0.33l at home, Nivala. Vintage 2009. Colour is dark brown with very small brownish head. Aromas and flavours: Wood, dryness, some caramel, some coffee, hints of dark fruits and malts. Very woody and dry. Perhaps too old. Getting simple and "red winish".

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, 33cL. @Palais_de_la_Bière, Poitiers. A sparkling black beer with brown hues at the top of my glass ; small head poorly persistent. Aroma of caramel, licorice, fruits (raisin, fig), wood, toast, biscuit. Medium sweet ; round ; warming. Full body, oily medium texture, soft carbonation, fruity finish, light warming background. Overall, a delicious beer ; compared to " SP Reserva", this one is more "elegant" and oily ; nevertheless, I prefer "SP Reserva" because of its texture.
