4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
I have not tried the single pannepot yet. This is a very interesting brew with lots of aroma, harmonically fine tuned. Cask wood touch, port aroma is quite present. What I like the more are the roasted and cocoa flavours, with mild sweetness. Alcohol booze is significant.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Dark black with a short-lived beige froth.
Very intense: banana, prunes, dates, strawberry, chocolate. Coffee liqueur, molasses.
Powerful and sweet in the beggining. Mouth-covering as it slowly goes down. Good balance between sweet and sour in the middle. Very long finish with no bitterness. Hints of caramel, walnut, coffee and prunes. Excellent.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
(On tap @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, April 9 2015) Pours deep brown with red highlights like cola, with a thin off white head. Aroma a bit port like with a brown sugar/toffee sweetness, touch of molasses even, stewed plum and a bit of raisin, berries maybe?, herbal, oaky, touch of chocolate. On the palate, rich but not overly sweet with toffee, toasted malt, dried dark fruits and berries, oak with a bit of vanilla/leather character, herbs, becoming nicely dry and even a touch mineral towards the finish. Hints of chocolate to go with the fruit/wood herbs. Faint tannic sort of bitterness in the long aftertaste. Medium full bodied with effervescent carbonation and a little alcohol heat. Supremely elegant beer, the oak character really meshes nicely. Lovely sipper, maybe a bottle with some age might be even better than keg, letting the alcohol smooth. Awesome as is.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle of 2010 vintage. Pours dark chocolate brown, finger of off-white head. Aromas of brown sugar, molasses, caramel, spices, dark fruits, oak, some herbal notes. Taste is medium sweet, medium-light bitter. Alcohol is present toward the end. Medium body, surprising actually given aroma and appearance. Decent carbonation too. Really like the way the oak has added a level to this. The alcohol is just a bit more present than I’d hoped, otherwise very good.
