COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Pannepot Reserva was an idea from my brew collegue Carlo who wanted to age Pannepot in genuine French oak barrels (barrique 225 liters). We have brewed 90HL at the end of 2005 which has been aging on oak ever since (14 months). 30 Hl was bottled Tuesday 8th May 2007. 60Hl has been transferred now to second hand calvados oak vessels and will be bottled again early autumn 2007, we will name that batch Pannepot Grand Reserva. As quality and results rule at Struise, the Reserva was already brewed again and aging on oak.

Vintage 2010 from Belgian e-shop Dark black color with red hue at the side of the glass, thin, light brown head, medium lasting. Aroma of molasses, sweet caramel malts, spicy oak notes, some biscuit/bread crust too. Taste is sweet, dark malts, some spice, apple juice, molasses, hints of oak. Finish is light bitter from the roasted malts and just a hint of tannins (from oak or dark malts), lasting. Slightly dry, very low carbonation. Another excellent beer!

Reserva 2010 bottle to a tulip. Watching the Oscars 2015. Pannepot is a favorite and this version does not disappoint ... Dark fruit and spices with sweet toffee malts and an oakiness on the finish ... Exceptional.

0,33д l, 2010. Dark brown with garnet color, tan foam. In aroma sweet grandmother brandy mixed with spices, dried plums and gooseberries, apricots and raisins, caramel and toffee. Taste: sweet bliss old honeys, nectar with dried fruits; hops, oak and good old port in finish, very warming. Great ale!

Cellared 2008 11.2 oz. bottle poured to a goblet, displaying a rather clear, coppery brown color, with a presentable layer of brownish tan head foam that gradually diminished to a bubbly film & silky ring, leaving clingy dots & dashes of lacing on the glass. The nose was some roasted character, with a touch of cocoa, but mainly dark fruit as prune, cherry, concord grape, and raisin, with caramel sweetness, and a sherry-like scent. The flavor was malt sweetness, continued esters, a mellow amount of oaky & tanniny bitterness, a bit of tartness, and sherry-like alcohol whose warmth built slowly throughout the taste. Softly carbonated, but possessed a smooth & rich texture, and medium to full body. Aged very well as quite a long awaited treat!

Poured into a taster showing coffee brown rims, dark center and no head. The nose shows a lot of brown sugar with hints of molasses The palate shows soft carbonation and medium bodied. Moderate -t high big brown sugar/caramel-malty sweetness with a moderate alcohol spiciness in the middle.

Pannepot reserva 2010.

Pannepot Reserva 2010, uitgeschonken in 33cl.
