5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Dark reddish brown beer, nice lacing once again. Lovely sweet, complex and vinous aroma, the alcohol is more present here than in the original but it smells like heaven itself. So malty, spicy, fruity, now with some nice wooden notes mixed in rather than distracting the whole like in Pannepot Grand reserva. So soft yet very warming, you can feel the alcohol mostly when it has already gone down your throat. Superb beer, at least as good as the regular pannepot which makes it a perfect beer or perfect beer plus for me. Got to get more of this, If I had to drink only one beer for the rest of my life it would be this one. Still gay for Pannepot, have to five the bastard and shut up now before someone gets annoyed with me.

33cl bottle. Pours dark brown with a moderate beige head. Superb and complex aroma with notes of chocolate, dark fruits, caramel, spices and a heavy sweetness. Flavor is heavy sweet again with notes of chocolate, dark fruits and light coffee. Yeasty and coffee aftertaste.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
One of the best gets better. Bottle shared by Rich from 2008 series. This one aged very well, still as smooth and slick as butter. Dark dried fruits, yeast, typical Belgian ale but oh so tasty.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
"more similarities than differences in the Pannepot, Reserva, and Grand Reserva, and that after having all 3 side by side...and different years of each. This was a 2009...all 3 are among my favorite belgoan beers. I’ll take any of these over a Westy or Bernardus any day. Mellower on the carbonation and yeast, rich and smooth. Dark fruit abounds. Excellent!"

2009 33cl bottle. Pours dark brown with two fingers of beautiful creamy beige head. Smells of caramel, molasses, dark (plums, raisins, dates) and dried fruits with some alcohol chocolate cake aroma. Taste adds toasted note with coffee, burnt sugar, light spices and some alcoholic and liquor-like flavors. Excellent.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Vibrant light Cola brown, ringed eggshell head. Creamy hardware clove and cherry. Initial taste of clean tinny bitterness, furry tart toward the middle. Clean and complex. Drenched sweetness and easy on the barrell finish.
