4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
08 bottle in a lovely Odell skinny tulip - perfect glass for this beer. Flows into the glass with a deep ruby tint which subsequently is nearly overwhelmed by deep brown. A foamy tan head sits on top. The nose packs a punch - candy sugar and bubblegum are dominant, with raisins, figs, plums, and caramel assisting and a hint of musty oak alongside. The flavor is less sugar-dominated and carries through more of the fruity, malty tones - raisins, chocolate brownies, dark cherries, plums. Finishes smooth, rich, and velvety with a little hint of tannins. The palate is smooth as butter the whole way through - perfect carbonation on this one. The head is quite persistent, especially considering its lower carbonation level. All in all, this beer satisfies nearly every whim a beer drinker could dream up. Regular Pannepot is great, too. But this one takes the cake.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle from 2010, aged in bottle over 2 years probably. Dark brown pour with no head. Aromas.. Malt, cognac, apple peel, caramel and chocolate hints. Taste is pretty toned down comparing to fresh draught Pp, but offers a slight boozey experience with watery afterdrink. Tastes like dates, a little sugar cane and tiny bit bitterness.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a dark brown with a thin fizzy offwhite head that rushes away and leave few lacing. Nose is raisins and plum, caramel and candi sugar. Wow. There is an incredible depth to it, I could smell it all night. Taste is moderately sweet and has a light vinous edge. Flavors of caramel, raisins, chocolate and oak. Body is full and carbonation low. A lot of wood and tannins but it’s all positive here. Almost no alcohol heat, amasingly drinkable. Awesome!

Aroma with a hint of red wine. It’s taste takes a while to give all its shades in the mouth.

Très bon palais, le goût arrive par étapes. Bière crèmeuse, peu houblonné. Goût composé de plusieurs saveurs bien équilibrée entre elle.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle brought back from Bruges. Poured a really dark brown/ amber, with a big, dense off white head. Lovely aroma of prunes, raisins, dates, Belgian yeast, spice and malt. Complex flavours, some port, molasses, candy sugar and nutmeg. Finish is perfectly rounded; smooth dark malt, caramel, dark rum and booze soaked fruit. It’s a classic.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Sterk Avondverkoop Amsterdam.
Pours dark with a small head. Aroma-wise I smell a dark maltiness, mild but pleasant. The taste is dark, complex, every sip is different. There is really a lot going on here. Considering its 10% strength it doesn’t taste overly strong. I don’t notice much of the oaking. Overall this is good beer. Much better than e.g. a Rochefort 8 or 10.

I had it first in Kulminator in Antwerp and I was like "God created beer and called it Pannepot Reserva" The Aroma is not very strong but the taste is amazing. Pannepot Reserva rocks comparing to regular Pannepot and Pannepot Grand Reserva Vintage.
