COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the early 1900s, the village of De Panne, close to the French border, was famous for two things -- the ‘Pannepots,’ or fishing boats, that could be seen along the coast, and the unique dark ale enjoyed by the local fishermen. Our Old Fisherman’s Ale is a tribute to these hardy sailors and their rich, flavorful brew. Unfiltered. Unpasteurized. Bottle-conditioned in 33cl and 75cl.

AROMA full of spices, caramel, banana, raisin and sugary notes. some fresh notes of the hops are showing, resinous. APPEARANCE is good, red-brown clear robe with a thin brown foam of regular sized bubbles. Taste is really spicy, coffee, fresh in fruits, but from dry fruits. Really sweet ant a bit sour. Long lasting PALATE of sugary candy taste, medium body of thin texture. average carbonation. OVERALL I was expecting a great beer and was indeed pleased. Super well balanced between the different notes and tastes. One of a kind ! Poured from a 33cl bottle from fridge in Teku glass.

Absolutely one of the best beers I have tasted in a long time. A dark beautiful Belgian Beer at 10 %. Deep dark beer with a nice creamcoloured head. A trappist beer in structure. Rich in flavour and taste. Dried fruit, raisins and plum with a note of sugar and spices. Strong without the sharp alcoholtaste. A complex and wellbalanced beer.
