COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

2006 bottle. I can’t remember who sent this to me, but thanks to whomever you are! The bottle gushes slowly as its opened. Pours a hazy very dark brown color with a medium sized creamy brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of big bready and caramelly notes, a good bit of raisins and dates, toffee, faint spice and a faint vegetal note. Even some chocolate if you look hard enough. Very faint oxidation notes. The taste is full of dried fruit notes... citrus, dates, raisins, figs, and huge malty notes as well. Bread, caramel, toffee. Very faint boozy notes. Full bodied. The fruitiness is a little bold for my taste, but still a damned good beer.

Bottle shared with Urbain, 2008. Pours deep brown, off-white head that leaves good lacing. Raisins, plums and bread in the aroma. Full bodied, fruity flavor that sits well with the raisins and plums. I really enjoyed this beer!

Doften är ganska diskret och har en lite stickande känsla av lacknafta över sig. Smaken är också ganska diskret, men ändå med toner av plommon, tjära, tobak och undertoner av gräddkola. Eftersmaken hittar jag lakrits och arrak. Trevlig öl, men tyvärr lite uddlös.

For my 800th rating a wonderful beer. Bottle 33cl from Allen 2008 vintage, many thanks. A brown beer with good head. Smell is caramel like and spicy. Aroma is a creamy caramel beer, very smooth, sweet, malty and with toasted notes. Some spices like cinnamon, vanilla, long finish still sweet with no acid notes. What a pleasure, rich body, texture is amazing very creamy.

A: The pour is a dark amber color with a fizzy khaki colored head with surprisingly poor retention. S: Banana bread overwhelms the nose on the first sniff. Sweet caramel, dark fruits, and candi sugar come through next as do an array of spices. There’s (initially) a hint of alcohol on the back end that becomes more pronounced as the beer warms. T: Sweet bananas, plums, and raisins provide some fruity notes while the caramel and brown sugar provide the base of the sweetness. The downfall of this beer is that there is just far too much alcohol coming through which makes it tough to drink. M: The body is medium, not quite as full as I had expected, with a surprisingly "mid-range" level of carbonation. Again, more alcohol heat. D: What a surprising let down. I thoroughly enjoyed Pannepot, so I thought this would be more of the same. You can’t win ’em all...

Bottle 2007, bb 06/2013. Dark, copperbrown beer with medium and beige head. Aroma is fruity, syrup, raisins and some warming alcohol. Flavour is also full of dark fruits, blums, raisins, some roastiness, alcohol is disappered and it is there only with warming feelings. Aftertaste is dryer and sweetness is not too much, also some spicyness appears to the flavour. Typically with yeast flavour is calmer and also bananas can be found from the already complicated flavour. Smooth and pleasant to drink. Complex, fruitfull beer without weakness; definedly worth to try.

Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2010. Pours a hazy brown beer with a weak offwhite head. The aroma is weak with malt. The flavor is malt, fruit, sweetness and alcohol. The palate is sweetness and some bitterness. Overall a good beer.
