COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

Pour from a bottle revealed a murky brown shade with a tan head. Aromas lingered of caramelized sugar, almond, and toffee. Nice rich mouthfeel. Flavors are abundant ; dried fruit, oak, and anise. Well balanced hop bite at the finish. Excellent long finish. Very tasty no doubt.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2011 Bottle: 2007 version: Big light brown foamy head on top of a hazy brown beer. Smell some cough syrup, dark fruits and spices. The taste is once again amazing: some sort of a mix of cough syrup and sweet stout, or something... Light viscous and low carbo, bit tingling on the tongue, sweet bitter, delicious.

Bottle from Bierkompass. 2007 Vintage. POured hazy brownish color with a thin firm white head that quickly disappears. Aroma is malty and sweet caramel and dark fruits, alcohol. Flavor is very complex, slightly sweet, berries, caramel and spcies. Incredibly smooth palate, like silk. No trace whatsoever of any alcohol. Very very enjoyable.

330 ml bottle shared by lushawn- thanks again, Shawn! 2007 vintage. Pours a cloudy brown-orange color with a small off-white head. Notes of Belgian yeast, earth, fruits (raisins, grapes, plums), sweet caramel malts, brown sugar, and a little spice. Medium-bodied, with mild carbonation and a yeasty mouthfeel. Finishes dry, with a ripened fruit taste. Sweet and fruity overall.
