4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 mumares (93) - BELGIUM - AUG 13, 2010
Bottle 2007 vintage. Brown shiny colour, creamy small head. Nose is sweet, alcohol, chocolate and somewhat acidic. Taste is sweet candy with some sourness, dark fruit (prunes), wood and alcohol. Very rich, bit oily but overall smooth. Very pleasant and perfect for the colder days.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 xpimptastikx (74) - Austin, Texas, USA - AUG 12, 2010
2006 bottle picked up at the Alvinne bottleshop.
A - pours a root beer color with a finger of tan head, leaves a sheet with spots of lacing.
S - dark fruits (raisin, figs), caramel, a hint of alcohol.
T - Not the most complex, but damn it’s tasty! Straight forward figs, grapes, yeast, and a caramel candi-sugar finish.
M/D - This is best regular version of Pannepot, hands down. Not even the 2005s I have are better (still too spiced and that’s not really my thing). I finished this glass in record time because of the abrupt finish and lingering sweetness. I need another bottle.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DaSilky1 (2570) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 8, 2010
Pannepeut. Bottle 07. Pours a deep stained wood colored. Solid gray head. Nose of candy sugar, caramel, alcohol, deep refined malt profile and a touch a tartness sneaking in right around the edge. Flavors are malty with some more of the tart edge..candy-like, warm alcoholic tones...some grape candy hints, very warming with some depth. That being said...there’s nothing here blowing my mind...a classy yeast and belgian candy sugar not an orgasm give me.

Another fine beer from Struise. This beer is fantastic considering its almost 5 years old.
