COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

2011. Cola brown body; frothy tan stoutish head. Deep sweet rummy raisiny aroma. Flavor - drier than regular Pannepot, more wood, chocolate mousse type flavors are absent. Rather this has some porter qualities; almost completely different beer. Very smooth; bit of heat in the back gives away the abv. I may like this better, and my guess is that this is a better candidate to hold on to.

330 ml bottle bought @ Etre Gourmet and consumed on January 26. Pours very dark chestnut brown with a rather small off-white that doesn’t leave much trace while quickly dissipating. Smell is sweet, malty, fruity and spicy with liquorice root, figs, caramel, pumpernickel and some alcohol. Taste is sweet, slightly sour, spicy, and very malty with pumpernickel, cloves, liquorice, figs, plums and orange zest. Finish is sweet, malty and spicy.

2007 bottle at home. It pours slightly hazy mahogany brown, with a foamy beige head. The nose is caramel, gingerbread, dried fruit, cherry, marmalade and honey. The taste is caramel, brown sugar, milk chocolate, date, fig, raisin, nut, ginger, oak, roasted malt, some decent bitterness, with a warming, dry finish. Full body, moderate carbonation and slightly oily mouth-feel. A quality brew, but doesn’t quite stand up against Pannepot.

Pours with little to no head. The color is A rusty nail. The nose has cedar/hickory, cinnamon and nutmeg. A bit gingerbready. The body is very light. The flavors are cherry, plum with a rich chocolate forest cake. Finishes with a crisp bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

1/20/12. 11.2oz bottle from a trade... can’t remember who for sure... sorry! Cloudy amber pour with basically no head. Surprisingly plain aroma with some dark fruits, yeast, and brown sugar. Yeasty Belgian flavor with lingering fruitiness and yeasty bitterness. Not bad!

Bottle at the brass tap, pours a redish caramel color with aromas of caramel, sweet malt, dark fruit, and a touch of spice. Flavor is the same, really good beer that I cant stop drinking.
