COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

[1769-20081011] 11.2floz bottle. Brown banana and vanilla ice cream aroma with malty caramel, some wood and some sweet yeast. Murky, dark red brown body with a long-lasting creamy light tan head. Wood caramel flavour has sweet toasted yeast and is boozy but not overwhelming. Full body is sweet and boozy. Smooth and big.

malty aroma with subtle tart sour notes and herbs. poured a deep brown color with a decent white head and thin lacing. complex flavor a hint of chcocolate followed by sour cherries and dried fruits and loads of maltiness. the mouthfeel is medium to heavywith tons of CO2 action. the finish lingers with roasted flavor and mild hoppiness.

Deep hazy dark deep chestnut with a large caramel coloured head that fades to leave a good centimetre covering that lasts. Aroma is sweet and crammed with dried friuts, taste is sweet with a deffinate liquorice hit.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2010 In short: A inferior version of the regular Pannepot. Less cohesive. Feels sweeter.
How: Bottle 330ml. Vintage 2006. Consumed when over 1 year of age. Side by side with regular Pannepot (same vintage). Bottle given to me by Drewbeerme, thanks a lot Andrew.
The look: Many small particles in a cloudy brown body topped by a small beige head
In long: Rather than describe it the beer I’ll compare it to the regular Pannepot that we all know and love (both were vintage 2006). The Pannepøt has a much stronger liquorice candy and barley candy flavour. The fruity notes of the regular Pannepot are more like sweet fruits concentrate in the Pannepøt. Feels a lot more sweet than the regular Pannepot. Similar spicy nature, similar earthy note but the nice floral character of the regular Pannepot feel turns into something that taste like sucking on tulip petals in the Pannepøt. Put another label on it and I wouldn’t complain but I was rather disappointed by the Pannepøt it is a pretty nice beer but it is a far cry from the regular Pannepot. Commercial description above says “"…is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs…". No surprise it made its way to North-America, they must have sold like 4 bottles total of this beer to the 40 Danish ratebeerians.

Reviewed 12/24/2008 (bottle): Pours a clearish reddish brown color body. Suspended particles. Small off-white head. Dark fruity aroma, spices. A nice Belgian aroma. Somewhat musty, maybe coriander or something. Sweet spices, very aromatic. Dark fruity taste, plum and dark grape. Soft mouthfeel. Some smokiness present too. Very tasty, not too overwhelming.

Pours dark brown with copper hues and thin tan head. The aroma is fruity with prunes, dates, dark grapes, ripe cherries, dark German bread, a bit of molasses and alcohol. The taste begins both mildly malty and fruity with prunes and plums before a bit of fruit tartness and mild yeasty spice pick up midway and to the finish.

Thanks JoeMcphee for the bottle. Strong aroma of liquorice, spices and syrup. Dark amber colour, hazy appearance with a brown brown bread head. Rich flavour of roasted malt, liquorice, syrup and spices. The beer is delicious. a little earthy with hints of vegetables, rather odd but still good all the same. Rich smooth finish. A very interesting and delicious ale.

courtesy of retorp. 2006 bottle. Thanks for opening up this amazing brew. Pours hazy brown with frothy brown head. Aroma is fruity - dark cherries and plums with caramel malts. Taste cherry like giving the beer a very smooth wine like touch. Sugary - candi like mouthfeel. Gets better with a few sips, complex and interesting.
