COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

I really like this one. It reminds me of Rochefort 10, if i am right. This is for me belgish beer.

From 12 oz. bottle (2006) bought at Bruisin’ Ales. Has a mild cherry skin aroma, with rich dark fruit, alcohol vapor, mild brown sugar, and some citrus rind and muskiness. Light funky hoppy character with a bit of spicyness. Dark muddy brown body topped with a thin foamy light brown lacing head. Medium-heavy watery body with medium carbonation and light alcohol warming. Starts with watery, unsweetened fruit juice, with notes of plum, fig, lemon rind, and tea. Dark candi sugar with a vinuous tart-sweet warming. Mild spicy character in there, too, but not easy to discern which spice. Funky yeasty tastes in there, too, with a thin but warming finish - almost like a dry sherry. After is sweet and bready. Overall, a nice quaff.

06 vintage. Served at room temp. Pours a thick brown color with a syrup like consistancy and a medium sized yeasty head. WHen opened this bottle was a gusher. Nose is spice dark fruit, sugar, caramel, milk chocolate and booze. Taste is very sweet and feels great in the mouth. I wish there was a little more complexity to the taste but everything that is there is very nice. Great beer.

Bottle. Dark fruits and dark sugars in the nose. Fairly clear brown body, small tan head. Brown sugar dominates the start, with dried fruits and mild bitterness. Hides alcohol pretty well. Nice.

Bottle from Mystery swap 3.0. Pours an amber colour with a hugh off-white head. Aroma of dates, anise, and caramel. Taste is sweet malt, dates, and brown sugar. Has a semi sweet finish. Very nice!

2006 bottle served at 52*F. Pours with a largish, rocky, light brown head covering an extremely dark brown body. Aroma has notes of spices, cinnamon, chocolate, pepper kernels, alcohol and apples in it. Taste is strong, rich ahd savory, with yeastyness, spices and some madera like qualitys. Alcohol is well hidden, and adds a nice punch about ten minutes into drinking it. Creamy mouthfeel. A pretty good brew for how far it has travelled.

2006 bottle from WLV. This was not really what I had anticipated. The aroma seemed to be lacking to me. Some cocoa, caramel and soy, a little barnyard, actually. Taste was better, once I got some of the astringent carbonation out. Looked really nice with deep red amber color and big bubbled off white head. Overall a bit underwhelming, but still a nice beer.
