COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This ale was brewed back in 2008, and in collaboration with brew master Rychei Sugawa San from Rio Brewing & Co. Our goal was to brew a Belgian dark golden blond quadrupel with an enormous potential of aromas and flavors, and added complexity due to oak barrel aging. Bourbon barels from Kentucky were chosen due to their very special soft roast quality and noble vanilla flavors. Year upon year, different quality controls were executed, and we finally decided to bottle condition this very special ale in May 2012. Another three moths of cold maturing was done at the brewery, so we could be sure about the absolute quality before releasing to our customers.

Tap. Pours cloudy deep orange with a medium off white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. (Faint) aroma is caramel, fruiyt, wood. Taste is about the same, medium sweet, quite boozy. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Does not have the complexity of the best quads out there.

Süß-säuerlicher Beginn. Angenehme Alkoholnoten, würzig, stimmig, zurückhaltend. Wenig brennendes Finish, nett. Rauchig-trockener Nachgeschmack. 8/10/11/11//11

On tap at Stone. Clear dark golden with almost no head. Really nice floral bourbon caramel and vanilla aroma. Thick silky creamy palate. Tastes of caramel, bourbon candy, orange, vanilla, and dry oak with a sticky sweet bourbon finish. Outstanding.

bottle cracked with 77ships / 2 australian tourists. , and on draft at BBF ( by mistake) pours orange smells very sweet tastes VERY sweet. struise’s sweetest would be a great alias for this one ! bourboin barrels? no doubt! . i still get that ’tsjeesesy’ thing in it , wich i love. but i prefer tsjeeses over this one ( i know, hatters gonna hate) yet its a nice brew. lets see what aging does to it !

On draft @ Novare Res. Pours a deep golden color with a finger or so of thick sticky foam. On the nose its got some tons of complex sniffs...sweet fruit, plum, melon, berries, woody goodness, vanilla, creme brulee, and some earthy date and fig too. On the palate its complex yet amazingly balanced with nice sweet mellow flavors mingle with some earthy booze and yeast spice. Touches of sherry, caramel... wow this beer just keeps on giving. A real nice beer to sit and contemplate !

Dark brown, hazy and off white head. Dark yeast, bready, spices, nuts and sweet malts. Thick sweet base, syrup, apple juice. Lots of balancing hops. Residual sugars, barley wine like. It’s a tasty winter warmer. (UDRBM)
