COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This ale was brewed back in 2008, and in collaboration with brew master Rychei Sugawa San from Rio Brewing & Co. Our goal was to brew a Belgian dark golden blond quadrupel with an enormous potential of aromas and flavors, and added complexity due to oak barrel aging. Bourbon barels from Kentucky were chosen due to their very special soft roast quality and noble vanilla flavors. Year upon year, different quality controls were executed, and we finally decided to bottle condition this very special ale in May 2012. Another three moths of cold maturing was done at the brewery, so we could be sure about the absolute quality before releasing to our customers.

750ml Bottle shared between 6 at the Midland meet on 24th Aug 2014. Lovely, lovely beer, reminded me of Orange Liqueur in the nose. Poured an orange hue of light brown with a small head. The nose boozy, obviously orangey and sweet. The taste was more caramel and golden syrup than Orange Liqueur, but some orange hints were certainly there in the beers flavours. Rich and most enjoyable, cheers Richie for bringing it.

75cl bottle @ Midlands Beer Tasting, Aug 14 at Richie’s Hop Palace. Pours hazy orange with a thin head and big boozy Cointreau aroma. Taste is hugely complex, constantly evolving with sweet bourbon & vanilla mixing with dark fruits, malts, thick caramel & strong quad flavours. Without doubt the beer of the night for me and I definitely need a full bottle of this in my life. Incredible.

Bottle @ home, thanks to Armin for sharing ! Pours a pretty clear, rust orange appearance with a light brown head. A fair amount of oak in the nose that almost comes off as dry macaroni strangely enough. Lots of orange citrus. Herbal, grassy, woody notes in the nose as well. Medium bodied. Fairly high carbonation. Pretty tannic with tons of fresh oak. Fairly high sweetness. Low bitterness. Slightly prevalent alcohol. Twangy orange candy after taste. Fun to try but fuck you Struise on the price.

Pour out of 750 ml bottle, hazy dark reddish pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, caramelized sugars, toffee, fruit, hints of slight oak, vanilla, honey, some hints of white grape. Taste is a mix of honey, vanilla, dark fruit, hits of dark fruit, red fruit, hints of dough, yeast, spice as well, some oaky notes, finishing very sweet, but pretty tasty overall.

Taster at Zeebra II. Deep orange colour on the body, with a small off white head on top, with good density and retention. Tiny bits of yeast floating around. Light lacing on the walls and a thin line of foam sticking around the glass. Aroma has dark fruits, honey and butter combined, bringing up some childhood memories. Taste is sweet, with malts, floral notes, honey, a hint of the alcohol, ripe peaches, hints of caramel. Medium thin body, okay carbonatiom, maybe a bit high but nothing disturbing. Very tasty beer.
